BG shoots .286 from the field and .150 from three @ Oakland

Well, that was just ugly. Frankly, we were due for something like that. We've played eight games and laid one egg (IMO). The late Herb Brooks once said that a loss never hurts a good team, so the Falcons just have to put it back together. In March, this one means nothing at all.

How can you start one game 22/25 than shoot nearly 25% in the next game?

Oakland's zone had a lot to do with BG's poor shooting. This game was over in the first five minutes. BG tried to penetrate early and got rejected three times. Oakland did a good job of collapsing the zone. After that BG was pretty timid inside. BG's rebounding was horrible.
Give Oakland credit -- they wanted this game. They also wanted to stick it to Floyd's team (he left Oakland to come to BG). Three freshmen played a big role for them. I also think their much tougher schedule was a help.
BG had a nice following and the crowd was announced at 2800 but wasn't a factor in the game.
We'll find out what this bunch is made of Sunday.
