Not yet halftime and out of dogs.
Not all stands open and those that are understaffed.
Recruiting new fans today or driving them away?

It's Christmas break, therefore nobody wants to actually work at BGSU.

Then apparently you shouldn't host such an event if there are no workers.

I wish running out of hot dogs was the biggest problem that occurred at the Stroh Center today.

Couldn't be better said.

Product on court looked poor and fan experience was poor. The drive to fill the Stroh was slowed again.

With as many asministrators as our athletic department added under Christopher, you'd think someone would be able to oversee special events like this. If you can't handle running the promotion, then don't put it on.

Christopher? I think Kingston's adding just as many administrators, if not more. Some things can be blamed on the AD who has been gone for well over a year, but a problem at Dollar Dog day is certainly not one of them.

While I understand you're point....I'm still going to put some of the blame on Christopher considering he's the one that negotiated and decided to outsource the concessions for athletics. Plus I just think he was generally incompetent.

The recent new additions got our department up to speed compared with where some of the other schools in the conference are at and we're still behind many (including UB, which has a virtual phalanx of administrators doing all sorts of things). The more competent, intelligent people working to advance Falcon sports the better IMHO. My interactions have been positive with them and they've been receptive to constructive feedback. This and the ticketing thing are things that need to be addressed and I'm sure that's exactly what's happening.
Our entire relationship with vendors established from the previous administration clearly needs to be re-examined, though, and I wonder when the existing contracts expire and the ball could get rolling on that front.

Look at it this way...if they don't have any food to serve they won't be racking up many health code violations...

The number of administrators is not as big of problem as some of the "carryovers" that don't do anything! Still needs a little "cleaning" in the department.

Best possible spin you could put on it.
It's frustrating to hear the athletic department and coaches through the years beg for attendance then fail to handle a crowd of 2120. If we re-opened Eppler South (aka Men's Gym) could they handle the crowd? It's frustrating to me to see potential students and their parents, some area alums and some community members come to a game over break to see lines 40 plus deep at each stand from pre-game well past halftime. The stands were out of hot dogs and no signs were posted and they were were still advertising the deal over the PA. It looks bad, it sounds bad and it probably drives potential customers away. I hate to hammer on the department but it's time with a new arena and new staffing levels to get this thing right (especially with only 2120 fans in attendance).
