How in the world did we lose to Ferris State?
Re: BG's losses this season...
And three of those losses - including two in the MAC - were by 4 points or less which also could have been wins. We lost to Dayton and Toledo by 4 to by 1 to Akron in the second game that we played them. There's only been two games where we had no chance. The game at Akron, and the game against Ferris State (still scratching my head).Falconfreak90 wrote:Ferris State was a bad one, no question. But look at the other 5 losses...

Re: BG's losses this season...
Just a hard lesson in not being able to show up and collect a W. Still shouldn't happen, but didn't Ferris shoot something ridiculous from long range that game?
We just need to keep taking it out on them on the ice this weekend.

Lost by 14 on 12/21.Globetrotter wrote:We didn't play ferris state
Just to add on to the point of the teams they've lost to...
Dayton is half a game out of 1st in the A10.
WKU is tied for the lead in CUSA.
Toledo MAC West leader.
Akron tied for 1st MAC East.
Re: BG's losses this season...
Every game they've lost, aside from the Akron blowout and Ferris has been a one-possession game inside the last two minutes. And without looking, I'm pretty sure they've pulled out as many of those games as they've lost.
We'll see how teams step things up down the stretch and in the tourney, but I don't think we've seen a MAC team these guys can't beat.

That team we didn't lose to is 18-5, 10-3 since we lost to them with 2 2--point losses.

Didn't the Ferris game not count in the RPI to begin with? It's not counted in the Sagarin ratings.
If a team loses to Ferris State and the ratings don't include it does it make a sound?

As someone who believes no loss is a good loss I will say that a loss that is inconceivable can have a benefit that reminds a team that on 'any given Sunday' that provides the constant focus needed to ensure game prep is always top of mind for every team that is played thereafter.
