4 Wins in A Row Done Twice This Season!

For some perspective that all is not lost. BG had four wins in a row twice this season. The last time, less than four weeks ago with three wins on the road including 3 W's including one at CMU. Honestly, I'm most concerned about Monday because of our lack of success at home following heartbreak city. Put us on a neutral court against Toledo and I feel good. Against CMU, again I feel good and then against Buffalo and once again, I'd feel good. Let's see where we are a week from tonight, but right now, after a tough week and some struggles towards the end of the season…I still feel good. (There's only one team where I won't feel good - and I'm hoping they get Zipped out of the MAC Tourney before we play them.)

Oh yeah, the most losses in a row 2, twice this season, including now.

Just remember, we need to win 5 games to win the tournament now, not 4. We need to win on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. In the old format we would have had to win 4. This is why getting a bye is essentially critical if you have any real hope to win the tournament. In short, we have a monster of a hill to climb now.

No matter how this season ends, this has been one great season. The future is very bright indeed for this program.

As for the tournament, I think we win the first two rounds. Then comes time to knock off UT, who we've struggled against for several seasons. If this indeed is the time we beat those guys, it would be sweet. Whether it is this year or the next or soon when we go to the NCAA tournament, it won't feel complete winning the MAC tournament unless it includes beating UT and Akron.

Won't feel complete unless it includes beating Toledo and Akron??? Not a single person on Earth (living or dead) has ever witnessed, watched or experienced BG winning the MAC Tournament in men's basketball - because it's never, ever happened. Ever. I don't care if we had to play Ball State five times to win the title, I just want to see it once in my lifetime no matter who we played to do it. For the love of God....just once!

NOW we only have to win 4 games. We get one day off from playing (I assume we're traveling to Cleveland tomorrow) and have to win 4 games in 4 days with no breaks in between.
