BG off to HORRIBLE start in this one, down 17-6 or so early in 1st half. Richaun looking weak, already taken out.

Please tell me that BG is on spring break! Looks like maybe 10 kids in student section. ](*,)

We are getting killed!! They are kicking our ass, 22-6. This place is dead and out guys are sleepwalking out there. We can't buy a shot.

Down 38-25 at halftime. With the exception of Denny and Tisdale, our guys look half asleep. Jans looks as perplexed as the fans here do.

We are down 21 with 9:22 to go! Glad we came all this way to watch this $hit. Pathetic

Even Jans has thrown in the towel. He's resorted to standing at the far end of the bench just standing and just watching like a spectator. I've never seen him do this for this amount of time. Even he seems to be out of ideas or solutions at this point.

The late-season collapse has been difficult to figure out. Especially, the way we've tanked at home down the stretch.

Fun season for sure, but the way we finished leaves a bad taste in your mouth...

I wouldn't characterize this is a "late-season collapse".

We fell flat on our face today in an empty barn playing a meaningless game. We had road wins and lapses at home. We lost in the MAC tourney to a superior set of guards from EMU after we lost Holmes to a head injury.

We have a bunch of guys that are still learning to win at the D1 level.

Now, the guys can get back to class and into their training regimens. Joseph and Dickerson can heal. We all can rejoice in a resurrecting basketball program.

Losing today is a win for the players. Another weekday roadtrip isn't worth it.

Wasn't just talking about today. On Feb 14 we had the #1 overall MAC Tournament seed. We then proceeded to go 4-6 our last ten games of the year through today...including 1-4 our last five home games. If that's not a "late-season collapse" I don't know what is.

Surprised to hear Jans indicate surprise at the " nice" turnout, who wanted to help w/ some energy, but we never seemed to give them much to cheer for.

Checking out the " crowd" =1220.
Not to be sarcastic, but our women's team drew more than this in perhaps its worst season ever.

It could have been much more worth it, we seem to play much, much better away from the Stroh anymore.

I'm sure they would have lost before, had they not played a HORRIBLE team in St. Francis (PA). Move on to next year.

I'm also not sure why we stayed stuck in that zone after Canisius continued to shread it like that. We played much more man this year and our guys looked lost and out of place running it that much today. We're also too small and don't have the length out top to run it that long. Canisius simply shot a three or easily broke the zone and got a dunk of easy layup at the basket. Once again, another team came in to the Stroh and ripped it up, hitting double figures from three.

Maybe it wasn't a "late-season collapse" -- maybe it was a case of a team that wasn't quite ready for prime time overachieving for much of the season. I think Jans & his staff did an incredible job this year. If you told me back in October that we would win more than 20 games and make a postseason tournament, I'd have taken it in a heartbeat. But, perhaps our guys weren't ready for the spotlight to be shining on them in late February and March. A lot of MAC teams have played in big late-season games year after year, and we simply haven't. I'm excited for this program's future with Jans at the helm.
