Let's see a little speculation on who will be playing next season.
1. Joseph/Austin
2. ??
3. Denny
4. Parker
5. ??
I know Gomez improved as the year went on, but I've heard Worrell may be R. Holmesesque. Do you bring Dickerson off the bench or go with a smaller lineup with him and Parker in together? Does Tisdale crack the rotation or transfer? It looks like Jamir Andrews will play right away, does Friday have a shot?

I tell ya what I've had very little confidence in Tisdale, but when he played in the 2nd half on Saturday I was pleasantly surprised. His shot actually looked a LOT better than it did when he played last year. I don't know if he'll ever be a player, but he is athletic and he's got great size as a guard. Last year his shot was always a line drive with weird spin, but on Saturday it actually looked competent. I think he hit a few FTs and a 3 as well.
I'm not predicting him to be a star, but if he continues the sort of improvement on his shooting he's got a chance to be a good rotation guy, if not a starter. And if Jans can turn that kid into a great player it'd be a testament to his coaching ability because he was all over the place fundamentally last year (and obviously a testament to Tisdale's work ethic).

1 Joseph-SR Austin-SR Hluchowyjz-FR
2 Andrews-JR Tisdale-JR
3 Denny-JR
4 Parker-SR Dickerson-SR Mayleben-SO
5 Worrell-FR® Gomez-SR Friday-FR
If we have a 9 player rotation the above is what I expect.
1. Austin and Joseph rotating at the point and both playing more at the same time in 2015-2016. Malik gets a redshirt
2. Andrews starts and Tisdale backs him up.
3. Denny starts and Tisdale and Dickerson back him up. I expect Tisdale to be improved with more minutes.
4. Parker starts and Dickerson and Worrell back him up.
5. Worrell starts and Gomez backs him up. Friday is redshirted. Mayleben plays sparingly.
Plus we have the wildcard of the last recruit.

So far as Tisdale goes...if you have decent length , can defend the perimeter one-on-one and fill lanes on the break, you'll play. Even if he never develops a legit outside shot, a guy like that has a lot of value.

Well that's just it...last year he looked lost on defense as well. He was just a mess.
Then this year he barely saw the floor, but I understand completely why. He doesn't have the skillset to control the ball and Henderson/Clarke made big leaps to be vital parts of this team. There just weren't any minutes for him.
Then he played quite a bit on Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised in his development. I guess it's just something that I'm not used to seeing, but it is probably the most important part of coaching at this level: Player development. If he can put that length to use on defense and contribute anything on offense by this time next year he could end up being the starter. It would make me very happy if he proves to be a defensive stopper because we need a guy with his length to guard Bearden from UB.
