Did anyone attend this or the one in Cleveland. Did the coach say anything?

I was at the CLE session...great time with all coaches talking about their programs, and how well the kids are doing academically.

And I guess its not a secret... Only Delvin is leaving the team. Good enough? =D>

Great use of YouTube to show the event for those unable to attend. That and the recent behind-the-scenes video of Huger's arrival were well-done, something we haven't seen before and something we definitely should see more of.

Also, other than maybe Miami, I can't think of a MAC school that emphasizes academics more than us. That seems to play extraordinarily well with certain elements of the fan base but it has no effect on the seething, sports-resenting elements of the faculty whose antipathy towards athletics has not waned in the slightest. You'd think comments like that, and the regular genuflections we make towards the value of scholarship above and beyond those of our peers, might eventually bring them into the fold more.

It's not about academics...and I fully support emphasizing academics...it's about $$$ and the zero sum line of thinking that says every $ you have is a $ I don't.

Went to the one in Dayton....Huger was pretty candid. Thinks the defense will be good, no idea where points are coming from. Only 1 transfer, was adamant on that. Thinks the program has a solid base going forward.

Who is Huger's source for only one transfer? Is he sure? I've seen websites that say we have 6 or more guys ready to transfer. Can we trust the guy? :D

With a handful of exceptions that's generally where the program's been since he departed in the mid-90's. We've been wandering through the desert and his commitment to play up-tempo is like a man offering fresh, cold water.
