Non-conference schedule news?

Post by BGSU33 »

I saw a few articles over the last couple weeks concerning other MAC schools and their non-conference schedules being nearly complete and the articles listed who the opponents were. Has anyone heard of any news on how BG's schedule is shaping up? Just curious who we're playing.

'33, what the heck? It's May! Nobody is worried about the nonconference schedule right now. Get outside. Enjoy the summer, play some golf, go the the beach. Jeez oh petes.

Who said anyone is worried?? I was simply curious if anyone knew of any of our games as I started seeing other schools releasing their schedule info. I ask because I also pick and attend a couple of these games each year (like I do football non-conference games) and the sooner I request time off from work the easier/better.

Christ, I swear you could come on this board and post "it's a beautiful day" when it's 75 and sunny and some people would bitch. SMH

... and nobody is curious either. Nobody is worried. Nobody is curious. Nobody cares. And nobody is gonna care until the schedule comes out. And you know what? It's going to be the same basic thing that BG and every other MAC school has cobbled together over the past 15 years. So go grab your fishing rod and sunscreen and quit worrying about it.

Why does interest mean worry. Why does a certain segment of this fan base get so frustrated at people who want improvement.

As the coaches said at the caravan, the good schools don't want to come to BG, because any loss would be a BAD loss. If we want to go there, maybe they'll play us, as long as we don't try to beat them (like Dayton).

It's the same scheduling problem the MAC has had for years. We can't change it, so why not just wait for the schedule to be announced and then we can say how badly we got hosed in the schedule?

Yeah, I guess the 450+ times (and counting) this thread has already been viewed that no one cares about It. I forgot your opinion and apathy applies to everyone. My bad.

I heard Michigan, but that goes back a few years. And after the piss-poor schedule last year I'm interested in seeing improvement.

No one here can help you or anyone else with scheduling info...you'll get rumors at best. Why you guys don't just email the coach or AD with your concerns and complaints about scheduling, recruiting, the use of twitter or flow of information is beyond me. I can see airing a gripe once or twice...but these seemingky repetive bits about essentially the same issues are useless.

I don't see this thread as a gripe. He wondered if there was intelligence out there. It's the off season. It's something for us to talk about.

Actually, the SID gets on here every so often, reads, and replies to things. It's not a horrible idea to post things like that on here rather than bombard a coach or AD with these things.

Am I reading a different thread than you? Good grief. The only "complaining" I see is about the topic of the thread.

I'm curious about the schedule as well. I visit other schools message boards and they have threads with a combination of rumors and facts about their schedules. What's the issue?

Why doesn't the MAC find a partner league and do an annual "challenge" tournament along the lines of the B10/ACC?

We could get the Sunbelt or Horizon or some such league and whore it out to some minor ESPN network. That would be one OOC game that would be on everyone's schedule every year alternating home and away. . .

The SID isn't going to come on here and leak info about our schedule.....

The issue with "complaining" and "whining" and "kvetching"isn't so much in this thread...it's the generaql tone and tenor of this board. It's May...the sun is shining, the birds are singing. The Tampa Bay Lighting are about to choke away the ECF against the Rangers. There are so many better things to be doing than obsessing about a basketball schedule...a roster...a coaches use of twitter.

f**k it...maybe I'm just tired of the whole shebang...
