New commit from Central Catholic. Looks like a great pickup. 6'5" guard who can shoot and jump.

Video is interesting after a second look. He isn't overwhelmingly athletic but seems to do well in traffic around the basket. Moves a bit slowly but plays above the rim and can shoot. I really like his step back move. Will commit and then bounce back and knock down his shot. That will be tough to cover. Looks like he will be fun and bring some energy to the court. Him and Malik might be a solid duo as the years progress. Both have tons of energy. The kind of guys that are fun to watch even if they don't end up being stars.

This is a great late pickup for the Falcons. My guess is you can trace this one to coach Stacey as he has very strong ties in north east Ohio.

Nice job

Lillard was named 1st team AP Division II All-Ohio for 2014-15. He averaged 18.9 ppg. He was named the AP Ohio HS Northeast Lakes District 2014-15 Player of the Year. He had a very strong state tourney run of games, scoring 24 points in state final. They also knocked off Akron SVSM who was #3 in the country at the time.

Accumulating this kind of talent is what will make the difference in tight MAC games. I contend kids like this get the critical rebounds at the end of games [not the BJ Gladdens of the world - ie Akron put-back basket at end of home game this past year]

Again - GREAT JOB of upgrading the talent. Hats off to the coaching staff

Globe, call me crazy, but it seemed that the video was in semi slo mo. If you notice, everything, seemed to move a bit slow, as if the video was running at 90% speed.

Could be. He looked like a Chauncey Orr type athlete to me. As in athleticism won't be his downfall but he won't wow you either.

He had a lot of quality D1 interest early. I saw nothing in the articles hinting at why he hadn't already signed.

Shane Kline Ruminski may well have had something to do with it too! Alumni Falcons will be a HUGE help in recruiting for Coach Huger!

Shane has been imploring BG coaches for years to recruit Cleveland and Ohio more heavily. According to the paper, Ed Colbert also was training Demajeo Wiggins and gave Huger the heads up. Connections are invaluable in recruiting and that's often how things happen.

Huger also said that Wesley Alcegaire played AAU with players from Miami that he recruited.
