BG picked last in the MAC East by Athlon & Lindy's

The preseason mags are back out and I picked up three of them tonight. Once again BG was picked dead last in the MAC East by both Athlon and Lindy's. The Sporting News didn't pick BG last, but they only picked BG 5th in the East. The team we have lost 20-whatever of the latest 20-whatever meetings against (it's so many now I've lost track) was picked to win the East by all three mags and CMU was picked to win the West by all three mags.

That sucks, but it's perfectly understandable and expected. Even if Jans had returned I thought he'd have a real hard time duplicating last year's success. Richaun is the best player we have had in more than a decade, very difficult to replace his level of production and leadership. Obviously losing the rest of the seniors was a pretty big part of our team as well.

I look for this to be a growing year, I want to see the foundation that Huger is laying for his future of this program. He comes into a unique situation where there aren't a lot of established players here, he can put his stamp on it. I'm excited to see the new kids and what new style of play he can bring here. But I don't expect a big winning year this season...
