Wright State is not a very good team and we are getting blown out. Behind by 22 points!

BG gets HUMILIATED by a very bad team.

Wright State crushes BG 83-47

BG shoots 27%, 15% on 3s.

Ali has 12. Fox has 5

Pathetic

First off…. it's Wright State, Wrong School.

Nicholas and I were at the game. BGSU was well represented in the stands. That was really encouraging.

The team was horrible. A lot of the fouls called seemed ticky-tacky.
But that's not an excuse for our poor performance.

We simple could not shot worth a damn and our rebounding was very weak.

Thanks for the info Tech. It was painful to watch online so I assume much worse in person.

But hey, at least the Nutter Center is pretty sweet (although too big for what Wright State Basketball can fill on a typical occasion.)

I can count on one hand the number of BGSU (or Miami) basketball games I've attended, so I am a passing basketball fan at best. But it was very painful. Luckily we sat next to some other BGSU alumni and enjoyed talking with them.

I would have to disagree on a couple of levels.

You're correct its too large for WSU basketball. However it gets used for concerts, high school graduations, and at one time the ill-fated Dayton Bombers minor league hockey team. I've only attended sporting events there. But the single level bowl design is ridiculous. You just climb stairs forever to get to and from your seat. And just think…. they hired HOK Sports for that design and its still doesn't have a "pro shop".

Typically we are allowed to park in the "upper" lots which afford entry at the main entry and the main upper concourse where all the concessions are located. Yesterday we had to park in outer Mongolian even though it was a spartan crowd. Entry was from the back lower level through the winding (and unmarked) hallways with people telling us we couldn't go there. We arrived at court level and had to climb the mountainous stairs to grab a couple of beers before going back down to find our seats. The fan experience was crap.

And again….. they paid HOK Sports to design that barge.

Yeah the single bowl is pretty crazy, but I guess that's what you get for having a "new age" 1987 designed building that we supposed to be "different."

It's just giant. Ever since I've started working here a few years ago I've never understood the need for something that size, even with the concerts and other events. It'll be interesting to see how crazy it gets for the first presidential debate next year.

Gonna be ups and downs this team but man, we couldn't shoot to save our lives. Move on...don't let it linger.

Todd - I didn't know you worked at Wright State. I thought you were up north.

Even in 1990 when it opened, many of us were shaking our heads with the design. What you might not know is that it is designed to provide for an upper section to push the total seating to 15,000, which I guess was the minimum needed to host a NCAA men's tourney game. The panels above the boxes are removable and additional seating can be installed at that height.

With it location just off of I-675, the University thought it would be a regional venue to host concerts drawing from both Cincinnati and Columbus. The Eagles performed there this past Fall to a pack house.

Yesterday's ball game was the first time I had been in the building since Nicholas's high school graduation in 2011.

Yep, I've been down here at WSU for two years exactly. Moved to Springboro from Fairborn last December. I like the area. Still drive up North for the hockey games, though. No one ever said I was smart.
