WTF was that?!?! Completely embarassing! It got so bad I had to turn it off.

Hopefully it was just a bad night....we got off to a better start to the season than I was expecting, but games like these make me question our chances in conference play.

I mean how long until this program gets it going? The Stroh Center should be helping us get above avg players, not to mention the huge donation from Bill Frack. I understand winning a conference tournament in a single elimination bracket is a bit of a crapshoot, but us being one of the top 4 or 5 programs in the MAC yearly shouldn't be a pipe dream. Seems like everytime we show some steps toward improvement, we immediately go into rebuild mode. It can't be that difficult to recruit a couple athletic bigs, a legit point guard and 3-4 wing/2 guards who can make shots. Akron does it every year and their facilities are a joke compared to what BG has. Figure it out....

BG coverage just as bad, as it is past midnight and still no box score etc to review

'Twasn't pretty. I saw the 2nd half on Horizon TV. Even Matt Fox was awful and BG shot about 20% from the field in the 2nd half and 2/13 from 3 point range for the game.

On the other side, everything Wright St threw in from 3-point range went it. It wasn't our night.

Before everybody goes all gloom and doom over the basketball team, you all have to remember that we're on our third coach in three years. We had Sleepy Lou for entirely too many years. That killed the program. Most fans stopped caring about the team in general. Then we had Jans and we all thought we had something good going for us. Then he decided to drink up and tap some butt and we fired him. That buried the already dead program. We're now trying to unearth this thing with Huger. We're making progress; I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. But, I would say next year will be a year to really focus on, when Huger has a chance to actually recruit some guys and continue to work on his system. Basketball is generally a quick turnaround (at least compared to football), but there's always that rough first year where you lose some games you shouldn't lose.

And everyone knows BGSU goes as Matt Fox goes. If the franchise player's not hitting, there's not much you can do.

You can always go to the other school's web site. I don't want to just blindly defend BG's sports info guy, but it's possible he had trouble connecting to the internet on the bus ride home. The box score is usually on BG's site relatively quickly, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt rather than just ripping their coverage. But that's me.

Don't forget that huger was into I believe July just trying to floor a team; any team!?
