Free throw question
Free throw question
I am curious to what you think. Over the past few years I have noticed this. Twice tonight as we were shooting free throws Coach Huger was talking to Pep Joseph just to the right of our free throw shooter. We missed the foul shot. Made the second time but Joseph was standing behind the 3 point arc. Is it possible our shooter gets distracted from seeing activity off to the side and it affects his shot.

I hope they have more focus than that
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Free throw question
Just follow along the rest of the year when we are shooting free throws down at the end of our bench and Coach Huger is talking with a member of our team to the right of our shooter. I am going to say we miss half of our free throws. It's like the player walking or talking effects his shot. Next time you see our coach talking during a free throw so if he misses.

That's not right. Huger should go to the referee and complain.gmartin wrote:I am curious to what you think. Over the past few years I have noticed this. Every time we miss a FT, some guy is ordering popcorn. No more popcorn!

I would recommend NOT ordering stale Popcorn anyways.

Stale? I thought it was fresh burnt. They seem to have reduced the frequency of this problem so that burnt smell is not distracting the shooters anymore.gmartin wrote:I would recommend NOT ordering stale Popcorn anyways.
With video boards and ribbon boards and opposing fans on the road I would hope a coach talking to a player doesn't distract them much.
