BG at CMU
BG at CMU
BG has to face the MAC's preseason favorite for the second time in three weeks, this time on the road. CMU blitzed BG in the second half of the first meeting, particularly with the three, which started BG's home skid (haven't won there since) while the win has seemed to have turned CMU's season around as they're now starting to resemble the team many people expected them to be when they picked them to win the MAC. Prior to CMU's win over BG, the Chippewas were 7-7 overall and were destroyed in their MAC opener. Since then they've won four of six and are looking to make this a three-game win streak. BG on the other hand, while struggling at home, has seemed to have found its niche on the road where it has won all three MAC away games and is 6-2 on the road (only 6-4 at the Stroh). I'd love to see the road success continue but it's gonna be tough. And BG must find a way to close out and contest CMU's shooters because they will light it up from deep, as we learned three weeks ago.
GO BG!!!
Re: BG at CMU
Did we not learn that from the first time we played them that they can shoot the three??? Damn man. And Fowler must drool before the game when he plays BG at home.
GO BG!!!
Re: BG at CMU
BG trails 41-30 at the half.
Fowler and Rayson combined for 31 points. Those two alone are outscoring us.

Re: BG at CMU
CMU has what BG sorely needs. Guy who can create their own shots, can also shoot, and can flat out score. CMU has a couple of them and BG has none. We don't have players who can do those things. Fowler and Rayson were drilling shots, both contested and open looks, and were running our guys ragged. Several times you could see them laughing as they knew they had us without any answers and looked to be telling our guys about it. We couldn't defend them and in the few times we could, they'd still raised up and drain shots over us. Then they also have big guys who stretch the floor and drain threes. We had no answers. They blitzed BG in the first meeting with a huge second half and today they had a big first half before pulling way too far ahead in the second. No contest today. That's BG's third loss in the last four games and are now 4-4. All those home loss are starting to sting.
GO BG!!!
Re: BG at CMU
If tournament would start today we would be the #7 seed and play Toledo or WMU.
Speaking of Toledo they lost again. They have lost 3 home MAC games.
