Can anyone get this to the bulletin board in our locker room?
Stan Joplin paraphrased quotes from WSPD radio this morning:
"We've already played the two toughest (best) teams in the MAC so far..." (Meaning Buffalo and Eastern)
"Some teams in the MAC only have the record they do as a result of their competition so far"
Stan may need to face the reality that you can't just claim you have your best team in over a generation and throw your jocks on the court and walk away with a W.

Ok Stan.............you've played the best two(in your opinion) teams.YOU LOST TO THEM!!!We've played one of them AND WE WON!
I think it is required at TU-you must make excuses for not winning, but never EVER say that the other team beat you!
This is just one of many reasons that I couldn't chere for TU at the Motor City Bowl.(no,I didn't go.............I would never lower myself to that level!)

Stan's butt is on the line, and sooner or later he's going to have to play everybody. He better hope he backs that crud up with some wins.

Way to go Grant!
Good thing that BG/UT game on 1/22 is on Fox Sports Ohio....but I have a feeling I may just have to make a drive up for it.
Either way, I can't wait for that game.
GO FALCONS!! BEAT EMU!

Better start thinking about getting your tickets for home Falcon games -If things go well this week I suspect Anderson Arena could be a tough ticket in a big hurry.

I believe Western is better than both of those teams...

And has UT played Kent? Or BG for that matter? Looks like all the Freaks will be in town on 1/22 for the hoops DH. I can't wait to get to AA!!!
GO FALCONS!!

Speaking of UT playing Western. I heard something the other day that makes little to no sense.
Not all MAC West teams play each other twice for some odd reason. UT and Western only play each other once this year and the game is at UT. This could be a huge break for UT.
Our lone West opponent this year is CMU I believe.
Anyone know the reason for this oddity?

I think Stan was referring to playing the two toughest MAC teams on the road already. I guess he thinks the UT games at BG, CMU, NIU and Ball State are all locks?

It is because of the unbalanced number of teams in each division. We play Eastern once this year and Ohio twice as the "odd" games. UT gets Akron twice and Western plays Buffalo twice from the East.
