MAC Tournament - where BG goes to die - Take 37

It's the moment we've all been waiting for (or dreading) - the MAC Tournament (aka The BG Graveyard). Yes indeed, it's the 37th year of the tournament where BG has never - that's right - NEVER - won the event. Whereas every other team in the MAC has won it at least once, and most of them have won it multiple times. What's more, every other MAC East school except BG has won the MAC Tournament in each of the last 10 years with five different teams winning titles (Ohio 3, Akron 3, Kent State 2, Miami 1, Buffalo 1). BG hasn't even made the championship round since 2002 and the Falcons also have the second worst wining percentage in the history of the event. No matter how good, or how bad for that matter, BG has been as a team that season going into this event, it always turns out bad.
Here's a look at all the MAC Tournament Champions:
Ball State 7 times
Ohio 6 times
Kent State 5 times
Miami 4 times
EMU 4 times
Akron 3 times
CMU 2 times
WMU 2 times
Buffalo 1 time
Toledo 1 time
NIU 1 time

I think Toledo has the 2nd longest streak of not winning the MAC.

Toledo won the MAC Tournament the very first year it began, which was in 1980. Take a wild guess what team they beat?? Yep, Bowling Green..... BG has only made it to the MAC Tournament Finals two other times. In 1983 BG actually hosted the MAC Tournament in Anderson Arena, yet, lost to Ohio - a team BG swept in the regular season. BG then lost to a Kent State team that eventually advanced to the Elite 8 in 2002. BG actually led that game early in the second half.

BG is only 80 to 1 to win the MAC Tournament.

Call me crazy but BG will beat Kent. BG will then go on and beat CMU. Will then end the losing streak to Akron and then face Ohio but will lose to the Bobcats in the MACC on a last second half court shot.

BG can't even get to Cleveland more than 1 out every 3 seasons if that. On a positive note, next year is the last year of anything Louis Orr, with the exception being that horrendous redshirt he gave on the way out the door. Baby steps.

Just gotta be patient and see what Coach Huger can build. It will get better...

Actually, Zach is also able to apply for a redshirt in his senior season. Maybe by then he will be relegated to the end of the bench with Mayleben. Ya know, Zach did the same thing last year. Maybe he only has 20 games in him.....

Why is it not showing on espn3 for me? Anybody else missing it? Not showing up in my phone app or on the Xbox...

For some reason not all of KSU sports have been shown on ESPN3. The last BG women's game at Kent wasn't shown. Maybe that is what this team needs. To win a game that fans cannot watch.

Also, for budget concerns maybe the Men's and Women's teams shared a bus. The women dropped off the men and then proceeded to Buffalo and will pick them up on their way home.
