Buffalo vs Akron in the MAC Championship!!!

Post by BGSU33 »

What a game this is! Both teams trading blows and runs. These two are on a totally different level than us, and if we ever want to win this thing, these are the kind of players we need to recruit. Guys who can shoot, handle the ball, defend, rebound, etc.

Ice in his veins! UB drains a 3 with 1.8 left! Akron with a very head scratching play to set it up though. Akron had fouls to give with about :27 left and fouled with the shot clock at :11. So it allowed UB to set up for the last shot instead of Akron likely getting it. UB made them pay big time with it. Seemed like Dambrot had an Orr moment in clutch time.

Akron RPI is 27. Tied for 12th for most wins this year.

Of course, NIT bound as some team with 8 fewer wins will get in over them.

I follow both Bill Livingston from the Cleveland PD and Jerry Sullivan from the Buffalo News on twitter.

It was interesting getting tweets from both sides last night as the game progressed. . .

Not saying it will happen because it probably won't but this is the year there should be more mid majors taken. Sooo many average teams in the major conferences.
