That was you? I thought Herb Tarlek, General Sales Manager of WKRP radio, had learned to play the bass.

It would be a lot better pic of those sousaphones without that Burger King guy standing in front of them.

GRANT'S RENDITION OF ORANGE HAZE!!!

Post by BGSU33 »

Jimi Hendrix ain't got nothin' on you Grant! Do you know how to play "Orange Haze?"

"Orange Haze"

"Orange" haze all in my brain
Lately things in "Anderson Arena" just don't seem the same
Actin' funny, "Dan Dakich" don't know why
'Scuse me while I kiss the "new banners" in the sky

"Orange" haze all around this "town"
Don't know if "UT's" up or down (they're down!)
Am I happy or in "misery" (a.k.a. Toledo)?
Whatever it is, "BG's" put a spell on me

"Orange" haze all in my eyes
Don't know if it's from this "hat or jacket I'm wearing or my freaky vibes"
"BG's" got me blowin', blowin' my mind
"Is BG in the NCAA Tournament," or is it just the end of time?!!!!

(Orange haze)!!!
(Orange haze)!!!
(Orange haze)!!!
(Orange haze)!!!
GO BG!!!

Do you guys remember the picture of JoePa that the Sooner fans had fun with? I think you photoshop masters might want to....ahem....brush up on your skills... 8)

And Grant, as a bass player myself, I was very impressed with you on Sunday. You have a very smooth style. There is one kid that plays in the athletic band that is so choppy it makes me cringe. Have you ever thought about re-enrolling? :P

Metz... I don't even know what to say... if you star farking my picture though, I'll ban you from the site so fast it'll make your head swim. LOL Just kidding... fark away folks...

Bleeding, thanks for the compliments. I picked up the bass as an emergency fill-in my sophomore year in HS and never had a lesson, so I guess I'm kind of self-styled. I like the "smooth" comment. ;-) It's hard to get the tone I'd like to have with that old Rickenbacker amp... Anderson Arena is a big sound vacuum. I wish that amp could be turned up to 11. ;-) I get distortion, but hey... Schools Out REQUIRES distortion!
