I just saw that. Lame, I wanted that guy. I'm hearing two names around here (Akron-Canton area) that we are looking at. Derek Koch from Northwestern (West Salem) and AJ Gareri from Ellet (Akron). Both are skilled big men, who can handle it ans step out and shoot it. I don't think we've officially offered either but I heard we worked both out and Coach H is impressed.

Would not be surprise in that we do not fill the other schollie this year. Maybe give Fox the open one for 2016-2017. Did notice that the new roster shows a likely walk-on in 6' G Ethan Good from Wapakoneta.

Not using your 13 scholarships is such a terrible decision. We made that mistake last year and we were thin in the post all year. At the very least grab a guy who has a year left of eligibility and have him play 10 mins a game. We are too thin in the post still for this to work.

We also don't have a full coaching roster.

Globe, we don't want risk tying up a 4-year scholarship with a poor player just to have a 13th player for the upcoming season. In mid-June, good and available MAC-level players are scarce.

Everyone else seems to have 13. Does anyone else do this 12 player thing? He has had a year to get guys. If he can't find one sign a Juco or a one and done.

I fully expect him to fill the roster and the coaching staff.

According to VerbalCommits, Ball State and Central Michigan currently have just 12 players on Scholarship. Eastern lists only 11.

Well, Hugor needs to do what makes the most sense for his particular situation. It just so happened that Hugor didn't find a 13th player worth the scholarship commitment. That happens sometimes. Why go sign some DII talent for the sake of using all 13?

Having a scholarship open can be an advantage. If a good player shakes loose from another program for some random reason, we could sign him. Or, we might hit the jackpot with it in November for the 2017-8 class.
