It wouldn't be a BGSU basketball season with out that thriller vs. Notre Dame College.

Norfolk State with a trip to the Stroh on Fri. December 30. MEAC opponent #2.

Norfolk went 17-17 last season & Ken Pom #244. The Spartans were second in the MEAC to 21-11 champion Hampton, which was 9 spots behind BG in Ken Pom.

And a road game at Evansville at some point, according to the "Evansville Courier & Press."

There is an error at the bottom where the schedule is broken down as it shows the Dec 22 game vs Alabama State as "at" Alabama State but has the location as Bowling Green, Ohio. The text says it will be a home game for BG. I was also surprised to see we're flying clear across the country to play a single game vs San Jose State. I would have thought we'd try and play another game while we're out there with all the schools in the greater Bay area. Not exactly a schedule to get excited about, but it's the typical type we've grown accustomed to having.

Has the Bill Frack Challenge dissolved? I see no mention and I see no noteworthy opponent. Maybe I missed something like the little tournament taking the place of a single game.

It looks like this year it's a tournament with those three games grouped together

Once again, an incredibly uninspired men's basketball schedule!

And we are going with 12 scholarships instead of 13. AGAIN! And we are promoting from within instead of getting fresh blood from without. We are running the program as if we have no money.

Running a program with 12 scholarships is a punishment the NCAA gives you.

I double as a Xavier fan. They have 10 scholarship players this season and will be picked 2nd in the Big East. If there is no one interested in coming this year who can contribute, then there is no reason to give it.

Huger is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. People will moan that they don't have the full complement of players, or they will complain that there are players on the roster who aren't of Division 1 quality. If I didn't know any better, I'd say fans are just looking to whine at any opportunity.

This schedule screams money saving. At this point, just play 3 or 4 of these mini 4 team tournaments. 3 games and only travel costs to one place. Atleast you get D1 opponents, and not just bottom feeders and rival Notre Dame College.

Difficult to get great ticket draws to leave their friendly confines. The mid-major schools must look among themselves and until we consistently compete for the MAC we will not get the big draws from the other mid-major conferences.

As for using all the scholarships I don't get it. Should we have a lottery to give away that last scholarship so we can say we used all 13. If there isn't a player that fits athletically, academically, socially and as a basketball player for the program then WHY should it be used?

Going with less scholarships than you are afforded is idiotic. Put a kid who loves basketball and has a 4.0 on the team to raise your GPA.
