Post by hammb »

Season is underway! I know I'm probably the only sap sitting at home on a Friday evening streaming bg hoops, but I'm excited!

Caldwell-frye-denny-alcegaire-wiggins was the stsrting lineup

I thought so as well but then the announcers just said that Ali and Lillard are not playing. Guessing this is discipline since we've heard of no injuries?

This was a complete surprise to me.

Probably discipline. Well atleast we will see lots of Caldwell and Frye. Look good so far. Not great shooters but that's often the case early.

I see we still can't shoot from the floor or the line this year. Christ we know how to put up some bricks as a team. It's contagious. Do we not have one guy who can simply put the ball in the hoop?

Man they don't look like it right now. Not just missing, but missing badly. And some good looks too. Both freshmen and Denny are struggling

Asked John Wagner on twitter and he responded. Turner is injured with Ali and Lillard suspended for one game due to a team rules violation. Said to expect to hear more in postgame

We look messy but certainly some promising things. Both Wiggins and Alcegaire have flashed some big moments.

Caldwell and Frye a combined 1-12. Hopefully just first game jitters.

Our senior sharpshooter is like 4-14 or something too.

If he's gonna shoot it like he did in the 2nd half last year I hope he sits on the bench not of the time.

Overall I think we look decent. Nothing special but the starting 5 should be solid. Uju and Worrell will give good minutes in post. 1-16 now from Frye and Caldwell in game 1. Definitely the backup wings are questions.

Caldwell looks like a solid floor general but terrible shot selection.
