Kudos to Coach Huger and his commitment to building the right kind of culture in the program. This sucks but hopefully everyone in the program will see that cutting corners and breaking team rules won't be tolerated, whether you are the best player or the last player off the bench. Even if it comes at the expense of wins.

+1 ---- I could not agree more.

With the suspensions and the players who are injured or redshirting, they should dress some football seniors just to fill out the bench.

Wonderful, simply wonderful. Nothing says you care about your team and teammates like getting suspended right in the thick of the conference schedule. Jackasses. So three starters and our only reserve big man now are all suspended and we have two more out with injuries in Turner and Uju. Just great. That means we have no one behind Wiggins down low with Worrell suspended and Uju injured. We're essentially going to have to try playing with six players.

I bought 6 tickets for this game several weeks ago and I literally just called the other two couples we were going to go with and called off the trip. This program continues to find new ways to disappoint.

Well this is one way to get Ish, Denny and Lillard to keep from shooting or turning the ball over. Need Frye and Caldwell to step up.

Guessing the starting lineup will be. Caldwell, Frye, Alcegaire, Fox and Wiggins. Reserves will be Malik and Ethan. Wow. Only 7 available players with Turner and Uju injured. Hope no one fouls out.

If any of these guys are captains, they should be stripped of their C. That is not leadership.

I applaud Coach Huger for having his rules and for enforcing the rules. No one player is above the rules.

-------------------
Was there an incident earlier this year where some players were not going to class and he did not start them? Or was that last year? I'm positive that he has sat players once for missing classes and even put the blame on those players that he did not start for the teams poor showing in the first four minutes of the game.

I would go...I'm not actually...my daughter is playing three different solos on three different instruments in the MSBOA solos and ensembles districts competition on Saturday (flute, pedal harp and piano). So that's pretty huge for us.

Still...you can show your friends how much character we have to stick to our principles no matter what. That's how you build a program...through the consistent application of clearly spelled out guidelines. That and you recruit guys that can play..and are willing to toe the line of the aforementioned guidelines.

You also know that even if he is suspended...Denny will still find a way to throw up a s**t ton of errant threes. I am not at all convinced that he isn't Simone Eli in drag

Kingston and his crew would use this as an opportunity to offer Huger a contract extension. I think earlier in the year the tweets read something like Champions on and off the court. #TalonsDown

My favorite part of this is that Jordan Strack breaks this news last night, just hours after tweeting back and forth with Anthony Stacey about Panera Macaroni & Cheese. LOL

Your obsession with Chris Kingston and our local media is....strange. Who gives a f**k what they're tweeting about?

Until we hear some details I'm inclined to give the coach(es) the benefit of the doubt in these situations. God knows what the kids did, but obviously it was something big enough that Huger was willing to basically forfeit a game to get his point across. So bummed to see Worrell & Lillard down this hole. I was counting on Worrell to be a big player for us next year, and I think we all had hopes Lillard would build upon his late freshman year success. This year has been the definition of "sophomore slump" from him.

I, for one, won't be crying one bit to not have to watch Denny on the court. He's right there with Jordon Crawford as most annoying players in our recent history. I know he's scrappy and seems to play tough. I know he defends and rebounds better than he should for his size/athletic ability. But on the offensive end Denny is absolutely awful. And the fact that he's our leading scorer is a testament to how bad he really is. There is no way on earth he should have 20 more FG attempts than any other player on our roster with only Wes attempting more 3s. Lillard is the only player on the roster shooting a lower % from 3 and we still keep letting him chuck it up. And he's had a TON of wide open looks at 3 as well when he's allowed to space the floor and gets the kick outs. He cannot knock that shot down. I don't know what the hell happened to him, he was billed as a shooter. He shot well under Jans as a sophomore. He shot extremely well to start last season when we came out playing well in MAC play. Then all of a sudden he became awful. We started winning again last year when we put him on the bench. This year he's been awful all year, and we keep hovering between awful and mediocre.

You can not win when you let a sub 40% shooter take the most shots on your team. You cannot keep letting that kid shoot 4 threes every game when he's sub 30% from there. I don't know why he got suspended, but he should have been benched long ago. Needs to realize he's the 4th or 5th option on offense, if he's going to play he's there for defense and rebounding. And if he insists on shooting all the time, then to the bench he goes. The suspension takes care of that itself.
