BG vs Akron tonight @ 9pm
What's with the 9pm start. Curious to see if the late start brings out more students. Also curious if those whom drive an hour will stay away due to the later start. I predict a BG win!!! BG 81 Akron 74

Also of note, Spectrum Sports is broadcasting this game. Anyone who lives within Time Warner/Spectrum Cable area more than likely will get blacked out on ESPN3.
You got 7 hours to find a way around the blackout.
Also, Dambrot, is 25-1 all time against BG.

The band was told, TV picked up the game because Akron is likely to be in the NCAA tournament and they changed the time at the last minute.

Crowd looks sparse. Offense struggling early. I guess the good news of the night is Toledo blew a 15 other lead midway through 2nd half and lost at home to Western. Always good when Rockets lose.

We played pretty well with real good play from Denny and Frye. Akron shot as poorly as I've ever seen from them. They had some good looks they couldn't hit.
Really struck me how poor UA looked on the break. When we were able to push tempo and they tried to match it they struggled in transition.
Need to tighten up that perimeter a d a bit more though. They're not gonna keep missing those looks.

He came back from the locker room right before half and was in warm-ups. But we kinda need him to play like he did in the first half.

Franke needs to move on. He is a terrible announcer. I find one comment he made funny. 'We could have another classic here tonight between the Falcons and the Zips'. Hmmmmmmm another classic. Dambrot is 25-1 against BG. How many classics can you have when you have beaten Akron ONCE in last 26 attempts. At least he finally stopped calling the refs 'stripers'

BG wins!!!! Whew. Denny and Frye. Frye 22 points. Denny 20 pts, 10 rebounds 5 steals. BG moves up to #10 seed.
