I remember watching this kid hanging on the rim in the state championship game in high school and he got t’ed up and his team lost and I felt so bad for him. I was ecstatic when I found out he was coming to BG and had extremely high hopes for him. Now, it seems like the last couple seasons he keeps getting himself into trouble and as an upperclassman now, this is not what you want to see. Very disappointing and at some point, you have to wonder if this kid’s ever going to get it. Past (and current) history suggest no, but we’ll see. He’s got to be down to his last strike at BG at this point. One more f-up and he’s likely gone. Dude needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and man up already. It’s also not going to make it any easier getting back on the floor when he does return as this team has to start out the season as if he’s not even a part of it missing that many games. But whatever he did to warrant the suspension, he likely did it to himself and has himself to blame.
Agreed. When you’re coming off a season where you were suspended not once, but twice, then as one of your team’s veteran players you are suspended yet again right before the start of the following season, it speaks volumes. I don’t have a clue what the suspensions are for, and I don’t really care to know for that matter, but whatever the case, he’s gotta cut the crap and prove to himself and his teammates that he can be counted on. How can he be counted on on the floor when he’s being held off of it for things he’s doing away from it???hammb wrote:BGSU33 wrote:Christ, come on dude, get serious and buckle down already man! Totally agree. If I were the coach it would be made plainly clear that this is his last chance. Any other team rules violation and he'd be gone.
And I'm with you on thinking he got screwed on that T and was excited he ended up at BG. And then he ended his Freshman year with a flourish and looked like a real talent. Last year he looked disinterested in using that talent for most of the year. He can score when he is aggressive to the rim, but if he's not attacking he's not nearly as worthwhile. He just didn't look motivated last year, and dealing with the suspensions makes me wonder where his head is at.
I hope he's learned his lesson(s), but until he proves it I'm skeptical. Bummer, because he has legit All-MAC type talent if he ever put it together.
