5:30?
They have 2 guys over 6-5. Their biggest guy is 6-9 but barely plays. Wiggins should dominate. If he doesn't get 20 boards it better be because he is on the bench and we are winning by a ton. Also if we are up Gadsen better play a ton.
They have a Freshman named Eddie Murphy.
Balanced scoring with 4 guys between 9-12.
Start 3 Freshman.

Fun game. Won by 40. Was hoping they would pound Wiggins in the first half to get him some experience battling. Didn't. He went for 11-8 but still the ball goes flying if he gets touched. I have never seen a softer big man who is still good somehow.
Caldwell led with 15, then Wiggins, Turner at 11 and Frye, Plowden at 10. then Lillard, Foxx 9.
Matt Fox is a very capable 10th man on a roster. I like him in that role.
The rotation of
Caldwell-Cummings
Frye-Cummings-Lillard
Turner-Lillard-Fox
Koch-Plowden-Uju
Wiggins-Koch
Can win lots of games. Only need 11 to 20 wins. Will have to toughen up for MAC play. Tuesday welcome Miami They are 7-5. They beat Wright St and 3 of their 5 losses are to Depaul, Missouri and Tulane.

This was a smart bit of scheduling...come back from break, practice hard and get a safe tune up in before conference play. Sucks that people paid money to see it...but it was a smart move to schedule it

I'm guessing they ran some kind of family deal or something. The East end ga section was as full as I've ever seen it and mostly families with children.
As a season ticket holder, doesn't bother me any. Makes sense at a glorified scrimmage to get really for Mac season.
My only complaint would be not playing 2 of these games. This one is fine but we don't need this and lake Erie both in the same year

According to coach a couple D1 programs backed out on playing us here, the second happening in August, that sent him scrambling in need of a home game
I wonder how EMU fans feel about this, as they play 4 non-D1 teams this season. And that seems to be a yearly occurrence for them
