BG Miami North

Post by Globetrotter »

Miami beat us 77-72 in Anderson (I don't remember the new court name so I am just going with Anderson, The Schott? The arena with seats that don't face the court?)

Will Smith had a great song about Miami.
I think this is the game that Frye got hurt as he only played 13 minutes.
Miami is 1-2 since our game and 9-8 overall

1 12 Darrian Ringo 6-2 173 JR 13 starts 10.2ppg 3.3 rpg 7.9apg
2 1 Nike Sibande 6-3 178 FR 17 starts 14ppg 4.1rpg
3 3 Jalen Adaway 6-5 2-5 FR 14 starts 9.3ppg 5.7rpg
4 20 Delante Brown 6-7 196 FR 17 starts 7.1ppg 6.2rpg
5 11 Logan McLane 6-9 225 SR 16 starts 9ppg 6.2rpg

13 Jake Wright 6-4 202 JR 3 starts 7.8ppg

This would be a nice win... we would hit 12 wins on the season, and 3 wins in the MAC.

We did not reach 12 wins overall until February 21 last year. Our 3rd MAC win came against Miami last year on January 31.

Comparatively, we are on track for a much better year this year. We just gotta go on the road and take it.

Protect the basketball, rebound well, and defend your hearts out, Falcons!

C'mon man, you've been stuck in Columbus for too long!

I hope we can get this win...they beat us last game but we played like hot garbage for most of that game. Miami has some talent, but they're nowhere near the top of the MAC. We have no business getting swept by them, but we already lost the home game.

I have class until 7:15, so my live updates will be starting a little bit later into the first half, but as soon as I trek back to my room, I'll be following along on ESPN3.

Wiggins off to a very good start. Up 12-5 at the first media timeout

Took out our starters and they went on a run.

now 18-24. Guards still playing Lebron style offense. Still not Lebron.

From what I gather, we got out to a quick start and led 12-5, but then they got hot and led 24-18.
However, we went on a run of our own, and we force them to take a timeout, as we're up 25-24.

Under 4 left in the first half, Bg is down 26-25.

Frye has looked pretty good the last few minutes.

Frye went down hard and he may have re-injured his ankle.

That Lillard point was the first bench point for BG.

Halftime, BG is down 32-30.

Gotta be better in the 2nd half.

I know the coaches rave about him. I several fans that love him. But can somebody please tell me what Koch actually brings to the team? He cannot defend anybody. He doesn't score against decent opponents. And he's not rebounding either.

Seems like a good kid, but he's not ready to play so many minutes yet.

Need more from juice in the second half. He's our best scorer and should be the focus on offense

This is a fairly accurate assessment. He's quite a raw talent. Hopefully he develops as the years go by. I think he will, but you have a point.

I think our best lineup may be Cummings, Frye, Turner, Lillard/Plowden, and Wiggins at this point.

I love the experience of Lillard, and the defensive energy of Plowden is awesome, even though he can make some bad (freshman) mistakes at some points.

I really do believe in the future of all of these young guys. It's just going to take time to get it together.
