Transfer

Sophomore PG Rodrick Caldwell is transferring.

Not a huge surprise, as his lack of playing down the stretch definitely must have contributed to this decision. This opens up a scholarship for next year.

Best of luck to RC3. You will be missed.

Saw his post on Twitter. I wish him the best of luck elsewhere. HIs parents sat in front of us the past 2 years and seem like good people.

Now we have 2 scholarships available, and I feel Fields pretty well already fills Caldwell's slot. Please find us a true PG and an athletic wing with those 2 scholarships. Although I"d bet nearly anything we'll leave one scholarship open for some asinine reason.

Will give that scholarship to the student manager or waterboy.

Hopefully we don't have more transfers, but I bet we do.

That first year he left a schollie on the table..I didn't think much of it...maybe he had an xfer in mind or something. Always leaving one open is odd

And maybe I'm just an asshole, but it's even more annoying that we don't even actually bank that cash to use on something else. Instead every year we're giving scholarships to walk ons. Fox ended up at least being a useful rotation piece, but I don't see Good ever doing anything, I would hope that he won't be getting that scholarship again next year.

Kinda sad that a great PG still hasn't found one in his 4 years here.

............and other sports not having their full compliment of scholarships! If you aren’t going to use it, give it to someone who needs it!

And the PG play was drastically improved.

Caldwell was a decent game manager and ball handler. I will miss him. I think we are on a couple other guys who fit the mold of 6-0 to 6-2 pg. Both Jucos. We will see what plays out.

Do need a swing big too.

2018-2019 2 scholarships available
1 Frye, Jr-Cummings, So
2 Turner, So(R)-Fields, Fr
3 Lillard, Sr-Plowden, So
4 Kulackovskis, Fr(R)-Uju, Sr(R)
5 Wiggins, Sr-Koch, So-Gadson, So

Cummings and Koch gone too. Could BG get Huger to leave too?

I'm shocked by Koch leaving, and Nelly leaving is a bit surprising too, since Caldwell left.

$975,000 dollars to go. Can we get some kind of countdown clock that subtracts the money per day until this Kingston special is over?

Well Huger isn't the type of guy to go to a bar and cause trouble so he will be here for 3 more years. So now I guess we have 4 scholarships open. With Koch gone we don't have to worry about him and Wiggins sharing the floor together.

Ugh.

From what I saw this year (despite Koch starting every game) I'm not convinced that either player is a major loss.

I am convinced that this is looking like Dakich crap all over again where we cannot even get players through a couple years to let them develop. I'm also pretty well convinced the program is in the wrong hands and we're counting down the days until we can afford to go find another coach.

God this blows...

Wow, this guy is a genius.

I, for one, think the program will be OK & that Huger knows what he's doing, but I'm also aware that this board is comprised mostly of people who just like to complain, so I'll show myself out and let you all get back to bashing Huger, the Tillers, Greg Christopher and the mysterious people behind the nefarious plan to make our basketball, football and baseball teams the suckiest teams that ever sucked.

It will be interesting to see if either of these guys land in another D1 program. I'm thinking not. The sad part is we have players with no experience going into the 2nd and 3rd year. Do you think they're magically going to produce? I would suggest the coach USE all of his schollies and give some of the players the pines when they go into the tank about mid-season.

Oops. Let's get out the gasoline. Was Chris Jans the elephant in the room?
