I saw we cut it to 68-60 with about 8:00 to play......then we scored a whopping 2 points for the rest of the game while Ball State scored 18. What the heck? How do you score 2 points in eight minutes? I feel confident we could round up five guys on this board and score at least two points in eight minutes against Illinois! I didn't have a good feeling going into Ball State, but I didn't expect to lose by 24 points. I think these two loses have finally brought us back to earth. Despite all of our early success, I'm still not sold on this team as I was our recent teams in 1997, 2000 and 2002. Something's missing IMO. I still think we are one of the better teams in the MAC, but we've got to get back to playing that way and proving it. We're now 4-2 in the MAC, and oh yeah, don't look now, but our next opponent (a certain team from up north) comes into the game at 3-2. Can you say another "BiG" game?

Your confidence is too high. Although, if you can prove that, I'll retract my statement.

I was watching the score scroll on ESPN and it seemed like the Cards were 10-14 pts ahead all night. Then, like 33 said, I saw 68-60 with 8 min left and got excited...until I saw 81-62 with 1:20 left. I was stunned.

We NEED to get a win this Saturday night....Badly.
