vs WMU @ the Stroh 1/19/19 *** GAME TIME CHANGE ***

Post by hammb »

I'm assuming most that are in the area and had intended on going to this game have already heard, but figured I'd start the thread here today with the info, just in case. The WMU game has changed from a 6:00 PM tip to 2:30. The women's game has changed to a noon tip, so I'm assuming the men's tip will be the standard 30 mins after the women's game ends, so about 2:30.

This change was due to the weather. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it will matter all that much. Most recent forecast I read is calling for the worst of the snow to be falling during these afternoon hours, so I expect a VERY poorly attended game. My 4Runner is a total beast, it can get through anything, but we'll see what the weather looks like if it's worth it to try. I hope to make it to the game, but we'll see.

If not, I'll be watching on the stream. WMU hasn't won a MAC game this year, and overall looks like a pretty poor record. Looking more closely though they've had a pretty brutal schedule. Their losses include @OleMiss, @Cincy, @Dayton, and @UM. Then you couldn't ask for a much more brutal start to your conference schedule...went on the road to Kent & Akron and their home games have been UT & Buffalo. Still, this is a game you should win on your home floor. Let's make it feel like @BGSU is another step into that brutal schedule for them.

Blowout now after a slow first half. BG up 23 with 10 minutes to go.

To answer the question in my previous post. Wmu looks awful. We played to their level for most of the first half after jumping out to a quick lead. Have taken total control of the second half.

The encouraging thing about today: WMU isn't good and BGSU should have blown them out -- and they did.

Absolutely!

Even after playing down to their level for a good chunk of the first half we still had a double digit halftime lead them blew them out in the second.

Taking care of business.

This is a talented team with 10 guys who can contribute. They keep winning in different ways. I don't think we are at the level of Buffalo but we are good.
