MAC season begins

MACTION begins tonight with a big one against 10-3 Kent, who I believe are a bigger challenge than the Bancroft boys (they have no bench). Even after tonight nothing's a given as the mac looks tough this year.
- all 12 teams enter mac play over .500
- Akrons 3 losses are Louisville, West Virginia and undefeated Liberty.
- OU and Buffalo have both been competitive with P5 teams
- Ball State thumped Georgia Tech and are favorites over preseason #2 Toledo tonight
- Miami and NIU both have a stud that can go off on any given night.
- Western and Central dont have quite the talent they've had in the past but both are well coached and are always tough outs in March.
- EMU is 10-3 and though they had a very soft schedule, well, that's what they said about us last year.
Looking forward to a great game tonight, a fun conference season and seeing if our boys can come out on top!

Going to be a marathon this year. That said, we have to get off to a hot start. A win tonight would be big - and I think we get it.
Falcons After Dark! Game tips off at 9:00pm. A hockey ticket gets you into both games (and free basketball parking), so why not come on our for this huge Friday night contest?
Fill the place, and Protect the Stroh!

CBSSN wants $22.66 to watch the game. JUST our game.
Like, wtf?
Anybody got a link that is useful to actually watch the game?

We trailed by 8 on three different occasions and cut it down each time but never gained the lead.
HALFTIME: Kent 37, BGSU 34
Gotta make free throws and hit some threes in the second half. Also need to cut down on turnovers and play hard defensively. Let’s get it.

Kent State is simply dominating BG. They have led the entire way and look way better than BG does and can shoot light years better than BG can.

Kent State is now toying with BG. BG is down big and is getting gutted on its own floor.

The most undeserving contract extension since Louis Orr.

Gotta get things figured out. It was only one game.
Not a good loss, but one we need to learn from and respond to.

This wasn't "only one game," this was an eye opener and a huge dose of reality. We're not going to look back at this game and think it was a fluke, we're going to look back at this game as the blueprint and reason all the hype didn't result in cutting down the nets in Cleveland.

BG doesn’t even have a shell of what Wiggins gave them. The big guys don’t guard, can’t protect the rim, and give nothing offensively. Huger takes Plowden out with 3 fouls, while Turner sits. Thankfully, while getting blown out he avoided Plowden fouling out. Huger fleeced the Kingston crew this offseason like so many do. Folks, life without Justin Turner is going to be very very very rough, and very expensive.

This one game proves this team is not dominant and it simply comes earlier than last year. As the tournament was approaching last year this is how the team played. Time to wake up the defense and energize from there. Worried - yes. Giving up on them - not so quick.
