@ Ohio (1/11)

Post by mbenecke »

BGSU (10-5) looks to continue momentum after the Miami victory on Saturday, 1/11 against the Ohio Bobcats (9-6) in a MAC contest that tips off at 1:00pm. The game will be televised on ESPN+. We have to keep it rolling after Tuesday night's second half comeback win.

We haven't won in Athens since January 12, 2016. Time to reverse that skid.

Go Falcons!

It hurts when your starting sr PG is an extremely inconsistent scorer with a 37% fga, 65% fta, and an a 31% 3 point shooter. This may be our biggest liability this year. We need better consistency and decision making from Frye.

What a comeback. This team looked done in the first half. Up 7 at the under 4 time out now.

We were down 10 at the half. I started watching with 10 minutes left in the 2nd half.

We’re up 79-70 with 2:19 left in regulation.

1:52 left and OU is already hacking.

Need to make free throws down the stretch. Just missed 2 - not good.

What is our FT% in the last 5 minutes of games? It can't be any better than 50%

They’ve cut it to 79-74.

Frye to the line, 48 seconds left.

Makes the first... and the second.

81-74 Falcons.

Ohio travels to give the ball back.

They foul Frye with 32.6 seconds left, he’ll shoot two.

Makes the first... and the second.

83-74, BG.

We gotta start putting 40 minutes together that look like these 2nd halves. If we do that, we’re scary.

It’s easier to be the hunter than the hunted in the 2nd half. Problem is the hunter doesn’t always bag his game.

3 - 40 minute complete games in Cleveland would be my preferred perfection
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

Ya know, I have to say that I am very impressed with the talents of Kulakovics. At 6-9 he's really athletic and moves very very well. I'm glad to see him play more. I think he could really blow.

Matiss is a very good shooter. If we can draw things up to get him open looks, I think he’ll know them down at a high clip.

I continue to believe in Mattos as the season goes on. He seems to be improving and getting more comfortable with every game.

Just want to point something out....these games updates are entirely unnecessary. ESPN, CBSSports, etc, all have fantastic apps the give continual game updates.
