Following Tuesday night’s 62-59 victory against Eastern Michigan, our Falcons (14-5, 5-1 MAC) head up I-75 to take on the Toledo Rockets (11-8, 3-3 MAC) on Saturday, January 25 at 7:00pm. This game will be available to stream on ESPN+, and I would suggest you do so - while a few tickets are going for as low as $8.50, it looks like they are really hiking up the prices, as I’m seeing seats going for as high as $85.00 (!) per person from their official ticket office.

Regardless of their slow start in MAC play, this is a massive game for us. They appear to have righted the ship, winning 2 in a row coming into this one. They were picked to finish right at the top of the MAC with us, and they are clearly a very talented team. If we can go on the road at a place like Savage Arena and grind out a win, we have to feel great about our chances moving forward.

It’s an “all hands on deck” kind of game, and we are going to need every guy on the team to be locked and loaded for this one.

Seems obvious to me that those rankings are penalizing BG for those losses in New Jersey, and not taking into account the loss of Turner for so many games.

While true, we've dropped in those rankings with each passing W on this win streak. Very peculiar.

Got a funny feeling we take it to those guys up north tonight and make a statement.

Pretty good guess. BG +5.5 tonight, the biggest spread in MAC play today.

East Bancroft High is playing really well right now having won 3 straight, including a 10 point win at Akron. Gonna need a big defensive effort from Fields and Turner on Jackson. Also dont know who is going to guard Knapke but we should probably double him every time he touches it. At least from what I've seen passing is not one of his strong suits. If we dont double him he can get our bigs in foul trouble REAL quick.

We went on the road and laid the wood tonight. It ended up close, but we really controlled most of the entire game on the road at Savage Arena. Talk about an impressive effort. Caleb Fields dank 6 clutch free throws down the stretch.

I’m pumped for the rematch on 2/8. Get there - let’s sell out the Stroh!

Only saw last 12 min or so, but thought we looked poised throughout, though those missed FTs by Frye and Turner Had me worried a bit. But Fields with a solid bailout.
Those Garfield Hts kids ( Jacksons) really put on a show, especially Marion . He looks much improved even over last yr.

Another milestone moment in the Frack-Stroh-Schmidthorst-Miles fueled era. I hope we can continue these moments that should start to bring the crowds and continue the momentum necessary consistently contend in the MAC. Keep building the new legacy Falcons.

One thing about the team this year... it may not always be pretty, but our team finds a way to close games. If it is close, we find a way to win. Great win against T&#@*%!!!
