This weather is terible?!

Post by mossmaidi »

I bought tickets to the UT BG game already, but with the storm hitting Saturday and getting up to as 8 to 10 inches, I don't know if I'll be able to make the drive from Toledo. Anybody in similar situations!!!

It's only supposed to be 5-7 inches. That's like powdered sugar on a brownie. Go to the game. Live a little.

Besides, once you get into BG, there will be no snow or ice on the ground thanks to our new dome over the city.

I'm driving to Detroit tomorrow for the auto show, regardless of the weather. SO you can certainly make it from Toledo to BG. The snow is supposed to be from 3:00 AM to noon, so most of it will be cleaned up by the time the men's game starts.

Brisk and bitterly cold with heavy snow, accumulating 12-18 inches

12-18 INCHES! :o

So that translates to windy (go figure), facial hair freezing, and a good incentive for me too stay in bed. Wish I could go to the game. I didn't get one of the student tickets, and I doubt they have any more. Plus I don't know anyone who has an extra. I could proably try and sneak in with the band, but that's dishonest and I don't want to stoop that low. Enjoy the game. Do lots of Toledo bashing for me. Go Falcons!!

Here's the BG forecast from Accuweather.com:

http://wwwa.accuweather.com/adcbin/publ ... ther&day=2

They're saying 14", but I don't know how right they are.

All I do know is that I am going to go over to the Humane Society, adopt about 8 huskies and construct a makeshift sled out of cereal boxes and paper towl rolls. I will NOT miss this game!!!!

Everyone be safe getting here tommorow, but GET HERE!!!!! :P

Chomic, I just got a call from the Sports marketing people, and they still DO have a few hundred Student tickets available for the game tomorrow. I picked mine up Wednesday afternoon, also expecting them to be out. In case you care, the # I got was 419-372-4349. See you at the game.

Well folks... it's 5:30 AM and I am warming up the car to make the three hour (in good weather) drive to my alma mater. I will be praying for safe travels, believe me. Hopefully the forecast will be wrong and it will be smooth sailing.

See y'all later!

The weather service says around 10 inches by nightfall. The wind is expected to pick uop considerably this afternoon leading to blizzard conditions.
