@ Miami (2/29)
@ Miami (2/29)
Following the biggest win of the season over Akron, our Falcons (21-7, 12-3) head to Oxford on Saturday, February 29 to take on the Miami Redhawks (10-17, 3-11). The game will be streaming at 3:30pm on ESPN3.
If BG wins this game, while Buffalo beats Akron and Ohio beats Kent (Friday), BG will have clinched the #1 seed and the MAC regular season title. That's where we're at right now.
Can't take this game lightly. It's one we should win, but I don't expect it to be easy - we only beat them by 2 last time around, and we were down as much as 14 at one point. They're going to come into this game ready for a fight, so we need to be ready to get their best shot.
Let's go Falcons. Beat Miami.

Re: @ Miami (2/29)
PlayoffStatus gives us an 85% chance at clinching the 1-seed, at this point. With a win on Saturday, that number jumps to 89%.
This is a big one. I know Miami is last in the MAC, but they'll be ready.

Re: @ Miami (2/29)
If we start like we started last night we will win the entire thing. Hustle, being active etc. etc. We have not played that way early all year....and stopped playing that way for a bit in the second half when we couldn't get a bucket. Guys standing around on offense and not baning the boards. The problem with this team is not talent. It's hustle and laziness.

My wife and I were talking. We want to see Ethan Good get in some more games, so we need to start blowing people out.

The ghost of Charlie Coles always has me wary against Miami!
Re: @ Miami (2/29)
Miami ripped apart CMU tonight. We really played a bad game down there last year. Hope that isn't the case again.
GO BG!!!
Re: @ Miami (2/29)
No win is ever guaranteed when we play them in any sport, regardless of standings. The whammy still lurks and we had better be as up for this game as we were for Akron. This has been one of those years where it seems like any team in the league is capable of beating any other on a given night. That's one thing that's made this season so interesting.
Re: @ Miami (2/29)
Another stone-cold start for BG. Already down 12-2. Miami is playing off Field and Zeigler knowing they’re not shooting threats and doubling down on Turner when he has the ball.
GO BG!!!
Re: @ Miami (2/29)
Huger must get Diggs and Frye out there. I know he like the defense of Fields and Zeigler but they’re non-factors right now and we in need of some sort of perimeter scoring.
GO BG!!!
Re: @ Miami (2/29)
Bad defensive half from BG, but we’re only down 2.
At halftime, Miami leads 38-36. The goal was to stay in the fight in the first half, and we did recover from a slow start. Now, let’s play our game and win the fight in the 2nd half.
Akron beat Buffalo, so there will be no clinching today. But we need a win to help our cause.

Plowden looking sensational.
Ziegler playing with much more confidence.
Miami looks much better than they are on paper. Sibande is very tough.

This might be the worst game I have ever seen from Turner. He can’t hit anything and has missed several bunnies. He looked awful vs Ohio with the exception of one shot and looks miserable today.
GO BG!!!
Re: @ Miami (2/29)
This one is over. Last place Miami is shelling BG and is on a 16-0 run. We look pathetic

Re: @ Miami (2/29)
Miami has looked like the better team from the tip. They've been a lot more aggressive and have protected the ball. BG has been careless and defense has been weak. I guess the Falcons figured they could turn it on in the second half. That hasn't been the case. Miami has also hit some clutch shots.
