If I'm not mistaken, they are moving toward a 22-game, double round-robin conference schedule beginning in 2021-22. I've heard that they (the MAC) wanted to have a 22-game schedule this year, but some schools had already lined up their non-conference schedules. Hopefully we're able to start the season on Jan. 2!

I think you're right.

Also, this is only the conference slate - we should still have a good amount of non-conference games this season, if everything goes to plan. I think the season is currently being planned to start in late November.

I like that they are moving to a 22 game conference schedule. That is an automatic 11 home games. I think the MAC or someone requires 15 home games so that leaves 4 more out of 10ish OOC games giving 32 total.

Pick 4 Horizon league teams and play them every year with 2 home and 2 away. Build some OOC rivalries with bus distance teams so fans can travel.
Not sure what happens to holiday tournaments with the shifted schedule this year but normally being in one of them is nice so 3 neutral site games.
1 D2 scrimmage and probably 1 D2 home game.
1 Frack home game. I'd love to get teams like Dayton, UC or Xavier but that has not been the case so far.
1 away at power conference.

15 home, 3 neutral and 14 away. I think this is realistic but not wonderful. I'd like to see more games against some more highly rated conferences but that is easier said than done.

Hosted UC for the Frack game during the 2015-16 season

The ACC is proposing today that every single Division I team makes the 2021 NCAA tournament. (via Jon Rothstein)

1968 no more?

Jon Rothstein reported today that the MAC is considering a 22-game conference schedule for this season, meaning a home and away game against each of the other schools in the league. From what I understand, that would mean adding a home game against Eastern Michigan and an away game at Western Michigan.

The Buffalo home game, originally scheduled for March 8, has been shifted up in the schedule and will now take place on Sunday, 12/6 instead.
