Level II snow emergency

Post by Ohiogal »

As of 10:30 Bowling Green is under a level II snow emergency with Wood County just at a level I... be careful driving if you're going to the game today! Think they'll have up front parking for snow mobiles?

This whole "snow" thing is pathetic. The local news did nothing but talk about this storm that was coming last night and even went to a grocery store where people were actually saying they were stocking up on milk and bread because of snow? You mean to tell me they can't go to the store tomorrow? These weren't elderly people. Folks, it's 6 inches in northwest Ohio in January----relax. It's not a blizzard. That will be the next excuse for no people tonight at the game...too much snow!! Horrible!!!!

Campus people are working hard and getting the streets cleaned up around here. The city is still a little shaky but campus is fine. They are cleaning the streets, lots, and some of the walks! It's not as bad as people are making it sound so get to the game!!!

Do they have that little cart driving around with the big spinning brush on the front? I always thought that thing was so cool!

Wonder how student attendance at the game will be.

What was the last report on student tickets left?

Would be shoddy/ironic if students were "stuck" on campus, wanted to come over to the game, but couldn't get in because they didn't make it to Memorial Hall to pick up a ticket earlier in the week.

It would be just as "shoddy/ironic" if the student section was empty because of the snow, but the bars are packed later tonight... wait, that's not "shoddy/ironic", that's pretty much crap.

Actually, it would be too typical and very sad indeed.

And McMetz: LOVE the avatar pic!!! :supz:
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

You can get around fine. I've already driven to campus and back. Its not ideal, but the roads are passable. Worst thing is the cold wind when you're walking.

I think the students will come out for the game as planned. Today at the REC I had 30 people come out for my noon step class. I think that's a good sign! Go BG!!! Beat the Rockettes!

Oh yeah, we all know I'm an Anderson Animal now so I figured I'd change it up!
