As the Fall BB recruiting period nears, I thought I would show the offers as reported by Verbal Commits. Globe usually does an excellent job at this and if he wants to add links etc. that would be appreciated. However, for this list I'm sticking to Name, size, position, hometown and Other Offers.
BG will have 4 openings next season based on seniors leaving. Thus far we have no commitments. We have ten outstanding offers after a 3 Star Big committed to Buffalo yesterday. Here is the current List:
Shooting Guards
Cole Farrell 6'3" Florissant Missouri - LA-Monroe, S Illinois-Edwardsville and SE Mo.
Corey Tripp 6'3" Medina, Ohio - Cleveland St
P.J. Edwards 6'5" Springfield, Illinois- FIU, ETSU, Charleston Southern, SE Mo., S. Illinois
We will have only Zeigler as a SG after this year so I expect one or two SGs will be signed
Shooting Forwards
Michael Jefferson Jr. 3 Star 6'6' Sulphur Springs, TX - McNeese only other 2020 offer. Has the following older offers from 2017-2019 - Sam Houston St., Ok. State, Butler, and Tulsa.
Aidan Noyes 6'6" Maineville, Ohio Cincy Moellar - A bunch of offers - UIC, VCU, Charlotte, Richmond, Marshall, Cleve St, Elon, Stetson, Hofstra, Toledo, Robert Morris, App St, Belmont, Miami (O), Akron, and N. KY
Aaron Lemon-Warren 6'4" Philadelphia - Drexel, St. Louis, Richmond
Desmond Watson 6'5" Columbus, Ohio - NC A&T, UNCW, High Point, Miami, Cleve ST., UT-Martin, Ohio, Stetson.
We will have C. Turner and Young still here after 2021 so not a necessity but may add one depending on PF/C needs
Power Forwards
Anderson Mirambeau 6"7" 275 lbs JUCO, Dominican Republic, Trinity Valley CC - McNeese, Lamar, Jacksonville St, Coastal Carolina, Kent, Austin Peay, E. Washington.
Ubong Etim 6'8" Richmond CA plays in Arkansas - Ark-Pine Bluff, SE MO., Hampton, Troy, S. Ark.
Anquan Hill 6'8" Radnor PA - Mt. St. Mary's
We will be short on bigs soon so maybe 2 here

I thought this year did not count toward eligibility...........or was that only Football? Either way the seniors might still leave.

I'm pretty sure that winter sports that completed most of there season were not eligible for an additional year. That could change depending on what happens with COVID this season but basketball was considered a winter sport.

Great stuff...AND great question about eligibility. I got an 4 year old and a 1 year old now so I have been swamped. Might get to it soon though. Maybe can roll out and edit this thread. Would love to see videos. I also lost momentum when Stacey and coach Summey left. Those might have been our best 2 coaches on staff.

I could be wrong, and I often am. However, I think the athletes in the fall and spring sports have the option of an extra year, but the winter-sports athletes currently do not have that option. Again, I could be wrong.

To start I think the roster will look like this
1 Turner 6-4 Sr (r) Metheny 5-11 R
2 Fields 6-2 Jr Zeigler 6-3 So Fulcher 6-2 R
3 Diggs 6-5 Sr Turner 6-7 So Young 6-6 R
4 Plowden 6-6 Sr
5 Kulackovskis 6-9 Jr (r) Swingle 6-11 So (t) Washington 6-8 Jr
With minutes like
Turner 25 Methany 15
Fields 20 Zeigler 15 Fulcher 5
Diggs 25 Turner 10 Turner 5
Plowden 30 Kula 10
Kula 10 Swingle 15 Washington 10
I definitely think its way up in the air though.

Farrell reminds me a lot of 2 people. Both Turners currently on the roster. I still think the sky is the limit for Chandler but could be wrong. All three seem like smooth athletes that are not overly athletic who don't jump off the video at you but who get things done efficiently. Justin Turner has taught me to not foreclose on these guys. I had been thinking that you had to be incredibly explosive to be a star but I don't think Turner is and he will be the all time leading scorer at BG.

If Turner only plays 25 min a game I will be thoroughly confused and wondering wtf is wrong with Huger's head.
He is by far our best player. Unless we are completely blowing people out, he should play at least 30 min every game. And 35 in close ones.
It's not that hard to have the conditioning for that. And we should be showcasing him as a star to help other stars think this might be home for them.

Finishes with either hand. I like that there are plenty of defensive highlights - including chasing people down after committing a turnover - shows the right "head in the game" attitude. Not sold on his jump shot - awkward legs, a bit of a push to it, and not many of them seems a bit concerning. Love the interior passing. Ballhandling security/handling looks a little rough.

He has Turner playing both 1 and 3 positions for 35 minutes total, I think. I might have mixed up Chandler and Justin at 3 though.

I assumed those minutes at forward were by a forward - but maybe he is expecting 3 guard lineups.

Yep, 35 for Turner at the 1 and 3. He played the 3 mostly last year.

Love the defensive point. That's always a great sign.

I think Stacey was once the coach in Medina? So that may bode well.

Seems like a decent athlete. Not the kind of player I would expect to make an impact in year one.

There have been reports from earlier in the week that the NCAA D1 council will vote today (10/14) on giving '20-'21 winter sport athletes an additional year of eligibility.
