vs. WMU (2/3)

After our EMU game (originally scheduled for Tuesday) was postponed, the MAC decided to move the schedule a bit to make things work.

So, our Falcons (10-7, 6-5 MAC) will remain at home and take on the Western Michigan Broncos (2-11, 1-7 MAC) on Wednesday, February 3 at 7:00pm. The game will be available to broadcast on ESPN3 or ESPN+.

The good news about this? We should hopefully get to see Justin Turner get the monkey off his back and pass Anthony Stacey's all-time leading scorer record at home now. I think the team will feel a weight lifted off their shoulders when that finally happens - it seems like it has been a real distraction recently. Daeqwon plowden is also just 9 points away from hitting the 1,000 mark.

We need to get right, and this is as good an opportunity as we can possibly have to do so. Now, it's time to go out and take it.

Go Falcons - Beat WMU!

Cam Young getting the start at the 5 tonight.

Time for this team to get back on track.

Young with 2 fouls in 3 minutes, so Washington comes in.

So, are we actually the worst team in the league now, or do we just play like it?

This is getting really old.

And honestly? I am ready to bench Turner. His shot is THAT bad the last few games.

14:46 to play in the first half, WMU leads 12-6.

It's so, so clearly in Juice's head at this point that it almost feels like he's never going to score again. I mean, he looks like a completely different player. I also noticed that we apparently want him to sit in the corner now and be a spot up shooter? That's never been his game, so I have no idea what the thought is there.

He badly needs to put this record behind him.

Is the game actually on to watch? The app doesn’t have it available.

And of course after I mention Turner, he gets a steal and a score, then hits a three, then blocks a layup, then takes a charge.

Woah.

A steal, a block, a 3 and a charge...... I may have spoken with haste.

Western has already hit 5 threes.

Jesus - Turner looks like a completely different player. Actually aggressive. Decisive. And I think the last time I saw him hit consecutive shots was Ball State.

Rebound WMU 11 - BGSU 7

FG% WMU 54% - BGSU 38%

It's amazing we are anywhere CLOSE in this game.

I found it. I could only find the women’s game. I had to hunt to find it.

Justin Turner is officially the all-time leading scorer in BGSU Men's Basketball history.

Swingle has checked in for Washington. I'm not sure we've seen him since the last game he started.
