Following an exciting road win against Toledo, our Falcons (11-9, 7-7 MAC) suddenly have a little bit of momentum after breaking their brutal losing streak. This momentum makes their next game, on Tuesday, February 16 at 7:00pm on the road at Ball State (7-9, 5-6 MAC), a lot more interesting. Will this team go on a run and fulfill their destiny as the preseason MAC favorite? Or will Saturday's effort prove to be a fluke? We'll have to see!
The game will be broadcast on ESPN3, and I plan to watch and give updates and the game progresses.
Go Falcons!

Did the team get out to Muncie yesterday? Travel today looks like it'd be dicey if they'll be able to get down there to get the game in.

I'd imagine so. We're less than 2 hours from tip and there's been nothing about the game being off, so we're probably in the clear to play this one tonight.

With 15 to play in the first half, BG leads 8-6.
Decent start. We'll need to be better on the glass to win this one, but the offense has been passing the ball pretty well. We're definitely a better basketball team when we can get out and run in transition.

Under 12, I'm pretty sure we're tied at 13.
Justin Turner became the first 2,000-point scorer in program history tonight. Phenomenal achievement from an all-time Falcon great.

With 8 to play in the first half, Ball State leads 21-17.
I really like Josiah Fulcher's game. I think he's going to be a star here before he's done.

I still think our offense looks like s**t. Had a 10 min stretch of only 8 points and I think all of them were on the break.
This team just cannot score in the half court, it's maddening. At this point we should just push it down the floor every possession and take whatever the best look we get before the :20 mark on the shot clock. Pulling the ball out and running anything in the half court likely results in a worse shot than a transition pull up 3 at this point.

HALFTIME: Ball State leads 35-34.
BG had taken the lead twice in the final 3 minutes, but BSU slipped backdoor for an easy layup to beat the buzzer.
Decent half, but lots of work to be done. Last time out, they worked us by 17 in the 2nd half, so I'm looking for us to be better this time around out of the break if we want to have a chance.
Juice with 13 and Metheny with 10 to lead us in scoring.

Matheny had a nice first half. Hit a couple of pull up 3s and actually scored a couple layups off the dribble in the half court.
Diggs had a few good looks that didn't fall.
Crazy amount of turnovers by bsu and we kinda feel into some of the same habits.

Nobody will ever convince me that Dylan Swingle should play a single min of division 1 basketball.
He looks like a walrus out there.

If he could just catch the ball, finish consistently around the rim, and rebound it every once in a while, he would be an incredible asset for this team.
I don't need him posting 20 and 10 every night. I just need a decent big. That would raise the ceiling for this team tremendously.

Everybody not named Justin Turner, Plowden or Matheny has combined for 2 of 18 FG attempts.
OUCH
