vs. Miami (3/2)

On Tuesday, March 2, our Falcons (14-9, 10-7 MAC) will return home to put their 4-game win streak on the line against the Miami Redhawks (11-9, 8-7 MAC). The game will begin at 7:00pm, and it’ll be broadcast on ESPN+.

This is our second matchup of the year with Miami, as they beat us pretty good at their place back in January, 96-77. Since then, we continued our losing streak and have seemingly recovered, so it should be an interesting contest. Miami comes in riding a 3-game win streak against the bottom of the conference, which was preceded by a 4-game losing streak against the top of the conference, so it seems like this Miami squad is squarely in the middle of the pack this year, which is why we’re jostling for tournament position with them. Huge game - could make a huge difference for us when it comes to our path through the MAC tournament, so we have to be on this one from the jump. We haven’t been good at home this year, but that needs to change - here’s hoping that it will.

Go Falcons!

Miami is again shooting the lights out against the Falcons.

We're only 3 and a half minutes in, and Miami leads 14-7.

Why does everyone shoot like golden state against us?

BG on a nice run to lead 23-20, about halfway through the first half.

We're a much better team both ways when we can get out in transition on offense. Can feel like the floor is tilted, at times.

If we make the NCAA tourney, it seems our opponent will put 20 on us before the first commercial.

Miami has started the 2nd half with a quick 7-0 run in 90 seconds, and we've got a game.

Very poor first 6 minutes after the half sees Miami take a 50-45 lead.

It's been like this when we're at home, where we are 4-6, which is almost even more puzzling.

Why is Cam Young shooting a contested jumper with 10 minutes to play in a close, crucial conference game? Yeesh, guys. I love Cam as an effort and defensive guy, but man... that's not his game.
