Playing at the western carolina Catamounts tonight at 730pm. Stream on espn+. In my minimum research they beat Campbellsville Harrodsburg 106-62 in their exhibition game and went 11-16 (4-13) last year in a tougher than most would think southern conference. Southern conference was ranked 9th last year and in the last two normal years were 12th and 13th while trying to get multiple teams to the tourney. Not sure how their offseason went but I expect a win tonight.

Basketball is officially back tonight!

Little underwhelming other MAC teams have matchups against the likes of Washington, GA Tech, Indiana, etc tonight and we play Western Carolina. Regardless, you're absolutely right, this is an exciting time. Can't believe it's almost the middle of November already. If we can utilize our depth and be efficient with lineups, I can't imagine there's another team in the conference that can match our talent top to bottom. Buffalo has the big 3 veterans returning and we've always had issues containing Mballa, but I think it's wide open this year outside of the Bulls.

I'm glad we're playing a sub-300 team to kick things off. I think there will be some growing pains early in the season with all of the new minutes and there will be a loss or two against a team we probably shouldn't lose to. I'm just hoping everything falls in place with the lineups and such by MAC play.

The starting lineup tonight is Metheny, Reece, Plowden, Diggs, and Mills. Very interesting. Wonder if Fields is available at all tonight. I guess we’ll see.

At what point do we realize this guy isn’t the coach?

We’re down 12-1 and it’s 5 and a half minutes into the game. Our offense is so, so mediocre.

We have talented players but we don’t run anything effectively. It’s hard to watch us just chuck up shots that don’t even have a chance.

And as I say this, Samari Curtis himself goes and drops in 5 points and Chandler Turner dunks down another.

We run zero offense, barely play defense and have little desire to rebound. The players may change but nothing else does. Coach seems like the nicest guy, does a decent job recruiting but can’t coach worth a lick.

Plowden has gotta stop chucking up threes. It has killed the chance for a couple significant rallies.

Huger basketball is just fu**ing awful.
