vs. Oakland (12/7)

On Tuesday, December 7 at 7:00pm, our Falcons (4-4) will return home to the Stroh Center to take on the Oakland Golden Grizzlies (7-2). The game will be available for streaming on ESPN3.
OU has won twice since BG last played a game, so it'll be an interesting rest vs. rust conversation tomorrow night. My hope is that our guys are feeling fresh and ready to play hard in this game, as beating Oakland would be a nice win over a quality non-conference opponent. But beating them won't be easy - that 7-2 record includes a road win over Oklahoma State and a 21 point blowout win over Toledo. They also played Eastern Michigan and West Virginia close, so this will be a challenge.
Looking forward to getting back home and seeing what we can do in this one.

Beating Oakland U would be a great win for BG. Yes, they lost to EMU, but it was an exhibition game in Oct. What stands out are their wins over Ok State, and a beat down of Toledo. Ha Ha...However, Nate Oates and Alabama killed Oakland by almost 30...But Oates and Bama are making some noise and recently took 'Zaga out.
Kampe is not afraid to 'play anyone anywhere"

Mills is starting in place of Samari Curtis tonight. Rest of the starting 5 remains the same.

I actually really like the ball movement so far, and the shot selection is decent. They just can’t buy a bucket.

We’re 5 and a half minutes in, and Oakland leads 7-2.

We are up 26-23 thirteen minutes in
Why is Curtis not playing? Why has Mills played the entire time when until just now he had not hit a shot nor done anything else that shows up as a positive in the stat sheet?

Looks like Metheny re-sprained his ankle. I’d be surprised if he comes back. Great minutes from Turner and Fulcher so far.

Curtis is out tonight. Mills is playing a bunch of minutes mostly out of necessity, especially with Metheny likely out, too.

Do we have any idea why Curtis is out tonight?

Metheny is back out there.
Game is tied at 26.

And then Metheny goes down again and turns it over.
Kid is tough, but he’s gotta come out. Can’t hurt the team by playing injured.
Just take a seat and get ready for conference play, 5.

Matheny stumbled and fell twice on spin moves after coming back in. 2nd one he was OBVIOUSLY hurt.
He needs to sit the rest of the game.

Joe Reece, who has apparently become our enforcer, just stood up for Plowden after a foul send him to the floor. Didn’t get physical, but sized the man up.
Double technicals ensue.

These announcers are such homers for Oakland. Plowden runs into their Kane...
No, Kane with the blocking foul.
Ignored the tech on Oakland but announced teh one on Reece and then took like 2 minutes to even realize it was a double tech.
