Less than 1 hour until tip off with Northern Illinois can you feel the excitement?

Northern isn't good but you can only give them day many uncontested 3s before they start making some. We had control for most of that half before squandering most of the lead. Definitely should be up more than 4. Hopefully we can play with more effort on shooters and finish this one off.

NIU had that run in the first half but overall this has been pretty dominant so far. A few dumb turnovers and mistakes have kept this from being a 25-30 point difference.

Definitely taking control as we should this half. Diggs hot and playing much better team defense too. Just got really lazy to end that first half.

BG wins, 87-65.

I didn’t watch so I don’t have anything to add. Just wish we could always play this well against inferior teams.

Most consistent play this year. Short lull at end of first half. If they play this well every night they’d make it to Cleveland without question. Unfortunately they’re not a lock yet.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

That is the best game we have had from Diggs in his career here. He played with a lot of intensity. Also, we appeared to actually have a plan on how to guard screens. I don’t know why it took this long to fix but it was a much better performance. Mills and Curtis are still playing too many minutes for my liking. If Fulcher can develop into a better shooter he is going to be another Plowden level player for us. I love the way he plays but his shooting percentage has to improve.

Overall it was refreshing to see how we played but can we do the same thing again? We shall see. Kent will be a good litmus test.

Going to be a hell of a battle on the road. We played them close at the Stroh last weekend - I wonder if we'll keep it close and give them our best shot on Tuesday night.

According to my calculations…. If we beat Miami this weekend, we will need one more win to go to Cleveland as an 8th seed..

How many "we're going to catch lightning in a bottle" folks are out there? I'm not there yet but they will have my interest if we beat Kent. I made a rule after the first Kent loss that I wouldn't watch us play any team not in the top 8 this year. Worked out great for the Central game but excited for my eye balls to reacquaint with ESPN tonight.

I don't think we are going to, but I do think we can. There is more than enough talent on the team to win three games in a row against MAC competition, but there is no consistency right now, so I wouldn't bet a dollar on it. For me, the bigger question is does Huger buy himself a pass with all of the fans/critics if they put it together and win the MAC tourney. As of right now, I think if he doesn't have a championship game appearance, at least, about half the fanbase will think it's time to move on.

Right that’s the thing is it would absolutely buy him a pass, one might argue a permanent pass barring any disasters if he wants to stay here for a long time.

Sounds crazy to even talk about making a run in the mac tournament let alone winning it but that’s essentially all we have to hold on to at this point. I’d agree with the majority that Huger just isn’t it and he hasn’t exactly built a winning culture. But there is always the small small chance we catch a heater at the right time and make a run in the tournament given the talent he’s been able to put together.

Side note we were down 29-20 with around 90 seconds left and it’s 29-28 at half. I had it on mute but i assume a flagrant was called there towards the end on the Curtis fast break giving us 2 ft’s and the ball.
I think we win this game!
