Scapegoat Season — Game 2 at Akron

Post by guest44 »

The Falcons come in flying sky high off a huge short handed effort vs. Ball St. You could clearly tell the improvement. BG played like it was having a ton of fun. Despite the fun effort, BG lost 91-82 continuing the worst defense in school history.

Next up Akron -7.5. The over under is just take the over BG plays no defense.

Any predictions?

Not sure about the over because the winner hasn't topped 71 in an Akron game this month

Fair, but they put 91 on our heads at the Stroh in January.

I don’t think we can stop anyone. A bet on the total will really just come down to whether or not BG is scoring enough, because we know we’ll be giving up baskets left and right. At 147.5… I would like the over.

I don't see the Akron struggles getting turned around tonight.

Joe Reece was an active defender around the rim...we no longer have him. Akron will threaten the 100 mark tonight. Where will our offense come from and if we do get some offense, will the coach allow that player or players to play both halves
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

That's the biggest issue playing a team like Akron.... they play defense. If we get slowed down somewhat we have no chance to recover with our defense. I'm thinking an 84-72 Akron win tonight that won't be that close in the second half. Brutal season feeling defeated before the game

Looks like he's on a leave of absence from the team. Sounds like he's gone but the door is open to a return. However can't drop 30 tonight

WHAT????????????

Just kidding. I had heard somewhere that we no longer have him.

In all seriousness, the first half went about as well as I could've hoped. Will be interesting to see if the wheels come off in the second half.

Well as long as everyone had fun, that’s what matter most. These poor guys are so short handed.

It’s good to see Jim Elsasser get a front row look at what year 7 of Michael Huger looks like. Let’s go ahead and update the record officially.

Michael Huger is now 58-67 career in MAC conference play.

82-68 so I was pretty close with my prediction and like I said wasn't in question most of the second half

And at 82-68, the over officially cashes. Hope I made someone some money. Lol
