Thought it's time to start this one but list is very likely subject to great change in today's recruiting structures of NILs, no problem transfers and Portal Activity, not to mention the hot seat of the coaching staff. Anyway unlike Toledo who again has nearly 20 offers reported for 2023 and 15 for 2024\, BG starts with just 4 according to Verbal Commitments. Here they are;
6'5" SG Bryce Coleman of of Chicago Notre Dame. Only two other offers - one is Nebraska along with Radford.
6'6" SF Mekhi Lowery, Oswego, IL - Offers - Towson, S. Indiana, Valpo, Radford, NIU, and Oakland
6'7" SF Austin Ball. Man, WV. Offers - Quite a Few including Radford (again),Richmond, Akron, George Mason, W Va, Marshall, Va Tech, James Madison, Stetson, etc. (doubt we'll ever see him in a BG uni)
6'8" PF Jaylen Carey, Davie, FL. Offers - Stetson, Ohio, Ole Miss, FGCU but no Radford.

Yes, they recruit the Ohio players other MAC teams don't give playing time to, via the transfer portal.

Yep...why go stay in the Hampton Inn in Circleville when you can stay at the Marriott in Chicago?

This coming season's roster has just 4 Ohio players and three of them are transfers -- Curtis, O'Neal, and Towns. That leaves incoming and lightly recruited Freshmen Anthony McComb III as the only 4 year Ohio player on the team. In fairness it should be noted that Chandler Turner is from Detroit less than 100 miles North and transfer Leon Ayers III is from Troy, MI in the northern suburbs of Metro Detroit after playing at Duquesne.

Do we ever actually get guys who are offered that many MAC or MAC-equivalent schools?

I don’t think our “ batting average” is very high in signing recruits.

Basically no. But, maybe after a year on the bench at Akron or Ohio in Huger's final year of his contract.

Not very often but Lightfoot is an exception. Highest rated player ever at BG since they starting keeping track of those things with several Power Conference offers.

What are the chances Lightfoot starts this season? What are the chances he plays 20mpg? Highest rated recruit, and I'll guess he comes off the bench and plays around 10mpg maximum. Meanwhile Curtis, Metheny, Mills, and Ayers play much more. Just my guess.

Metheny and Cam Young both had a TON off D1 mid-major offers.
