Shoutout to the folks who can still stomach these games. You’re better men than me.

Lions are on...screw men's basketball

Lucky for you!
The game is on FloHoops. Who in the hell pays $30 a month for something called flohoops for that 1 game a year that your team is on them instead fo something else.
Having us on and off TV - and on a variety of different networks, all of which are separate pay services - makes it seem very much like the athletics department does not even want us to watch the games.

Typical B.S. day. Flo anything is not worth the money, and just like last year's Flo crap, the stats don't play. The only consistent is Todd's radio on Eagle99. Falcons are up by 16 in the first half with about 2 minutes to go, but the fouls are piling up.

The less people that watch, the less people there are to complain. It’s probably accurate.Diemilkweed wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 8:27 pmLucky for you!

But those empty seats at the Stroh should tell them something. And if they don’t act soon (at the end of this year) those fans may never come back. It wasn’t that long ago that the Stroh was selling out for huge games, but we aren’t there anymore.
I gotta tell you, my life has been a lot less stressful this year without trying to fit in watching a couple of crappy games per week. It’s worth being invested when they’re competitive and play hard, but this team isn’t close to being interesting enough for me to watch. And if that continues, I’ll probably tune them out entirely.
DVDM needs to make it a high priority to fix this program. I think he will, but it’s going to be a challenge.

Elsasser has 9 points at least. I don't know whats happening in this game but I haven't heard Ayer name or Curtis name. Metheny is playing. We are up 65-53 with 9:25 to go

Live stats has nothing. School website has nothing.
Did we even win the game?

We won. By a lot. In what appears to be a super weird game that no one will ever really know about

Happy we won, but beating “Hampton” doesn’t really move the needle for me. Neither will Norfolk State, UT-Martin, Fairmont State, or Ohio Dominican.
Wake me when they beat Toledo, Akron, Kent, Buffalo, or Ohio this year. Until then… I feel as apathetic as I ever have about this program.

Like everybody else I wasn't ponying up $20 or whatever asinine amount to watch this crap matchup. Happy to see we won. I look at the box score and say oh wow we really moved the ball well with 20 assists! That's nice to see for a change.
Then I remembered that we see those games every year. We always rack up assists when we play tiny ass D2 teams because we just dump it inside for layups and they give our guards assists for whoever makes the entry pass. So I look up Hampton. Sure enough in the game yesterday only one guy who played double digit mins measured 6'7. They did play a 6'10 kid for a whopping 8 mins. Overall though they were playing 5 kids 6'7 and under for the entire game.
Not at all surprised that we were able to win a game where we were bigger and probably more athletic across the board. As in years past we get stats that mean nothing to look like we moved the ball and played well. Until they do it against somebody worth a damned I'm not taking anything from it. Rather win than lose, but this just doesn't move the needle for my feelings on the quality of this team.

The best team I've seen at BG was from the early 80'shammb wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 1:47 pm Like everybody else I wasn't ponying up $20 or whatever asinine amount to watch this crap matchup. Any word why Ayers only played 15 minutes?
