vs CMU

Post by hammb »

So we've got CMU tonight. We blew their doors off the last time and CMU hasn't really gotten any better eking out some wins here and there along with some really bad losses. They have the same record as we do tied for the 8th seed. If this team actually wants to play in Cleveland this is a pretty important game. We still have a few games after this one against teams below us in the standings (that we've already beaten), but this one ends up being pretty important.

Last time out we were up by 30 in the first half. It will be very telling where this team is if they can get out to a lead against CMU or if they again fall down by double digits quickly the way they have in all the recent games.

Chance to break our 5-game losing streak tonight!

Our 2nd different 5-game losing streak of the season…

Fun fact: after starting 2-0, we’ve only won 8 of our last 23 games. Insane.

Bad start per usual minus Metheny. I see Lightfoot is back on the bench, whats the scoop there?

We don't defend the low post any better than we defend the perimeter

Why does Curtis just fire up the deepest 3's out of nowhere. So dumb.

The Chips have the Dakich Era slap the floor when on defense going pretty good tonight.

This group looks like they're mailing in the rest of the season.

Never a good sign....down 33-29 at the half. At least we didn't give up 50+ in a half...yet.

Fell down by our customary double digits again, but at least it took 10mins this time instead of the first media timeout?

This is 2 God awful basketball teams fighting it out to not have to pay for a trip to Cleveland. Matheny played well but that's about all the good you can say. No idea what happened to Agee, he was so good earlier now looks like he's mailing it in like everybody else.

Kinda feel like we'll win this one because CMU won't likely have another 5-8 stretch from deep, but who knows, won't put it past us to give up 50 this half either. Neither team looks like they deserve a win.

We’re losing by 4 at halftime at home against a 9-16 team.

I would love to have game by game and season long on-off numbers for all of our players. Agee is on, we do well. He leaves, so do we.

He, and Elsasser of all people, have been the difference this half. Showed some actual want to

Agee gets his 4th and the 11 pt lead quickly becomes 1. Brutal 4:00 there...

Holy crap, we blew a 12 point lead with 4:30 left.

If there was ever a time you’d be justified firing Huger in the middle of the season, it’s after losing to 9-16 CMU at home in that fashion to extend the losing streak to 6.

It’s simply time to move on. This is embarrassing.

And we lose 77-74 after leading 70-58. And tsun coming to town Sat. Just get these last 5 games over with and get Huger and the staff outta here. This is pathetic.
