vs. Eastern Michigan (1/2)
BG (9-3) will host Eastern Michigan (6-5) to open MAC play inside the Stroh Center on Tuesday, January 2. Game will tip at 7:00pm. It’s dollar night, so why not get to the game? Parking is free, even!
I’ll be there. First game I’ll be at in almost 2 years. Pretty excited.
Go Falcons!

What food is involved with the dollar night? My in-laws are coming for the dollar tickets and are trying to decide if the food is dinner worthy.

Was planning to go but it turns out I am the only family member who could make it - and for a 3 hour drive each way, I am waiting for some company

I think in the past it's included popcorn, hot dogs, and maybe soda/popfootballguy51 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 8:12 pm What food is involved with the dollar night? My in-laws are coming for the dollar tickets and are trying to decide if the food is dinner worthy.

Historically it's been small boxes of popcorn, hotdogs, and small sodas are each $1.fanatic13 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 12:33 amI think in the past it's included popcorn, hot dogs, and maybe soda/popfootballguy51 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 8:12 pm What food is involved with the dollar night? It is dinner for us because it's cheap and the kid likes the one day a year that we go nuts on concessions. But for people with reasonable palates, it's garbage. The hot dogs are smaller than the "normal" game hotdogs and of a pretty low quality.
But hey for 1 meal it gets the job done.

Simon mentioned that the guard injured will be ready to go. Unfortunately, no news on Towns. The lack of a third big man is going to kill us in conference play if he can't get back soon.

Parking was easy when I got here at like 6:25. They at least have 2 lines running in, and I got to park in the Stroh parking lot and not way across Alumni Dr.Tricky_Falcon wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 12:13 amI'm assuming they didn't figure out parking and there are a lot of long lines.
Pretty decent crowd tonight. Hoping we can get things straightened out on the court.

Parking was fine.Tricky_Falcon wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 12:13 amI'm assuming they didn't figure out parking and there are a lot of long lines.
Only one concession stand on North end open. Waited in line 20 mins to be told they had no hot dogs or popcorn. Couldn't get $1 fountain Powerade since they want you to buy bottles. Replacement sprite had no syrup in it .
Now I'm like on South stand to hopefully get some food where I won't see any of the first half.
Total clusterfuck

Re: vs. Eastern Michigan (1/2)
Cincinnati Reds have something similar. All you can eat concession foods for a cheap price. It sounds great but they only have one concession area open and you're fighting with 1k people to get food. We missed the first five innings. I would've left earlier but the boys didn't want to leave sinve we had already waited so long. Never again.hammb wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 12:20 amParking was fine.Tricky_Falcon wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 12:13 amI'm assuming they didn't figure out parking and there are a lot of long lines.

Agee and Spurgin both with 3 fouls in the first half. We need big depth, badly.
