On Saturday, February 17, our Falcons (16-8, 7-4 MAC) will head back out on the road to take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles (9-15, 2-9 MAC). The game will begin at 3:30pm and will be available to stream on ESPN+.
The first game between these 2 teams was the MAC opener back in January, and BG struggled in the first half before coming back and winning 92-90 in overtime. So, while these teams may be separated quite a bit in the standings (4th vs. 11th) and by record, this very well may be a battle on the road. With just 7 games remaining in the regular season, it's imperative that we win this one and regain our form heading into March.
Find a way, Falcons.

We need to slow down Acuff or stop the supporting cast. They're not good defensively so if you throw a wrench in their offense you can get an easy win against them
Their recent double digit losses to niu and Akron Acuff shot 6 of 22 and 6 of 18. He also went 4 for 19 against western. Their blowout loss to ohio Acuff had 30 points and shot well but nobody else had double figures

Just wondering from those of you who know…. Do any of our seniors have eligibility left after this year??

The only player out of eligibility after this year is Da’Shawn Phillip. Everyone else can be back.

We really can not shoot. WE cannot stop Acuff at all, and we can not hit shots from anywhere.

Luckily we're playing eastern because against 9 other mac teams this game would be over

Our glaring problem all season is the inability to shoot. We have nobody who can consistently hit a wide open three. Our opponents have learned that and hardly defend the three point line. If you can’t make them pay for that then you can’t win.
Still encouraging play for year one and we might get to 20 wins. Get a couple of shooters in year and year two should be a lot better.

Ugh man, ugly first half. Our shooting is pathetic. EMU came into the game having lost 9 of 10 and are at the bottom of the MAC. Not the way I was hoping to see us respond after getting whacked at Louisiana.

You’re foolish (not saying “you” are, I’m saying anyone is) to bank on the idea of adding to what you have (or should have) in college sports anymore. I agree, if (and that’s a big if) this team returns intact, it would greatly benefit by adding some shooting. But I’ve learned quickly and the hard way about looking ahead. You focus on this year and then year to year anymore. We could add shooting for next season and could have entirely new holes from guys leaving. Every season is like a reset and it only amplifies the fact you need to win now when pieces are in place because they may not be there for long.

True, it could be a completely different team next year. I guess I am trying to say this coach has impressed without having anyone who can shoot from outside.

How do we let EMU, one of the worst rebounding teams in the league, out rebound us BADLY in the 2nd half?
20-13. 7 extra possessions for them.

60 points against a team ranked 349th in defense without their second best player. Just bad.
I blame our hockey team clearly both can't be playing well at the same time

Bad loss. No other way to put it. Cant take anyone for granted, especially in MAC play, but yikes.
We’ve cooled off big time. Really gonna need to figure some things out, we have a huge game with CMU on Tuesday night, again on the road.
