Tonight, our Falcons (17-10, 8-6 MAC) host Miami (13-14, 7-7 MAC) in what is really a pretty important game for tournament seeding purposes. Gotta refocus and not have a hangover from Friday night’s Toledo win.
7:00pm on ESPN+. Or if you’re in the area, get to the Stroh!

Hard to put a finger on this Miami team. In their last 4, they have been blown out by WMU and a below-500 Georgia State team, but also have blowout wins over Ball State and most recently.. CMU(?!?!).
They have also beat Akron and lost to NIU earlier this year. A true wild card.
We stole one at their place last month. Need this one tonight to clinch a spot in Cleveland. Also OU has Akron tonight so with a win we could tie them for 4th going into our matchup with them on Friday night.

I really like this coach and I really like this team. The only thing that’s frustrating is watching them try to put the ball in the basket. They seem to move the offense and get the looks they want. It’s just baffling how they can’t get anything from one footers to three pointers to drop.

Phillip did not come back out at half after getting hurt late in the 1st

Our shooting struggles are still going to hold us back. 14/53 from the field so far tonight.

Officiating in the MAC is hard to stomach.

It’s amazing that we have won 17 games while being this poor of a shooting team.
I suppose that’s a testament to Simon’s staff and the players for going hard every game and being tough to play against. It’s certainly clear where we need to improve to take the next step.

That’s a bad loss but wow what a terrible officiated game. Miami players were getting away with everything and doing a lot after the whistle. I saw there was some trash talking in the handshake line. Any one have any details on that?

A dreadful offensive performance. Not much more to be said.

Putrid three-point shooting again, and poor overall shooting for the game again. When we settle for or take it a three, it’s about as good as getting a stop for the opponent because we just can’t make enough of them to justify even taking them anymore. BG is next to last in the MAC in making threes and last in the MAC at stopping them. It’s clearly our Achilles heel and we seem unable to fix it at this point.

We took 23 more shots and lost. Just couldn't buy a basket. Only time we strung together shots Miami got hot from three

For those who were waiting to hear from Jamai Felt, today's your lucky day. He was the instigator in the handshake line, to the chagrin of OUR OWN players. Players had to hold Agee back from FELT, not Miami. Coaches/players told Felt to go back to the locker room and wouldn't let him stay out for the Alma Mater.
